Simmons and the Nets have been managing his back issue and have been on same page, and should he continue clearing ramp-up hurdles, he will be able to return — yes, in the playoffs.

Sources: There’a optimism Nets star Ben Simmons could make debut during first round of the NBA playoffs as long as his progression continues in strengthening his legs and back. Simmons has been ramping up his workload and is expected to continue doing so.

Could be bad for the Celtics if they match up in the first-round...getting Simmons back who is the third of their Big 3...ugh.

Simmons has missed basically the whole season and the whole time has dealt with back issues and such. Call me skeptical but even if he comes back what kind of impact is he going to have? Will he just suddenly return and lock down star players on the opposing team? And there's obviously the whole "can he even play the 4th quarter" since teams will use the "Hack-a-Simmons" method for sure

So let’s just book Milwaukee as a loss already, as that seems clear.

If both Boston and Philly lose, then it’s status quo. That may be desirable.

But who holds the tiebreaker between Milwaukee and Philly if they tie? To me, that’ll determine how Philly approaches today, because I don’t think they want anything to do with Brooklyn in the first round.

One thing this has me thinking about - should the team that wins the tiebreaker get the oppprtunity to choose which seed they get rather than just automatically taking the top seed?

Bucks, what do you think about the Nets?.how about Cavs scoring 76 in a half…fear is not a good look for a team that wants to win it all this year .

Bucks do. The Sixers have zero shot at getting the #2 seed, it's either 3 or 4 for them

It's not fear, its common sense.  Road of least resistance type stuff.

See how the Bucks enjoy playing game 7 in Boston! Imagine the 80’s Celtics tanking to face a weaker opponent or a Kobe led Lakers team.

I think coach  needs to send the message we are the team to be feared. I might be naive but I believe we are the best team in the East and should not put us on the road for potential game 7 in Milwaukee or Philly in round 2.

Imagine Kyrie and Simmons (cough, cough)in game 7 in Boston! Would be an epic win for us and would propel us to the Finals.

It’s the third quarter and Brooklyn is barely up on Indiana, who has lost 9 straight. They had to fight tooth and nail to come back and beat the Knicks this week. Remind me again why we’re supposed to fear this team and sacrifice home court in the second round just to avoid them? Such a weak mindset.

I will say, Brooklyn’s D is absolutely atrocious. We should have no issue with scoring.

How much more evidence do people need?  This Brooklyn team is not that good ! We will score at will against them !!

Speaking of the Nets... Is Blake Griffin injured or has he just fallen off the cliff for good that he can't even crack 5 min playing time. I mean the guy sacrificed himself to sign with the Nets and now he is not just a shell but a total non contributor for a guy who is a former number 1 pick.

Wow, Bucks cut the deficit to 14 (they were down 40 at one point). Also, Pacers down just 8

So for those of you who’ve been happily disengaged in the process…here it is now…

A Boston win makes them #2 vs Brooklyn or Cleveland.

A Boston loss/Philadelphia win makes the Celtics #4 vs Toronto.

A Boston loss/Philadelphia loss makes the Celtics #3 vs Chicago
