I think Mil will lose and Philly will win. So we either get 2 or 4. Tough decisions for Ime and Brad.

How do the C’s get the 2 seed over the Bucks even with a win tomorrow and a Milwaukee loss. They would both finish the season 51 and 31. They split in their regular season matchups. The Bucks have a better division record and the conference record would be the same.

Edit* Never mind. That’s a weird tiebreak rule.

Looks like we are fully healthy with only TL out. I guess it's checkmate for MIL.

And for those saying 'Bring on BKN'. It should be noted that after today they will be 36-19 with Durant, a better winning % than we have on the season. That is not even taking into account all the Kyrie home games missed or the fact that we will be without Rob. I get it - beat the best to be a champion and all that - but we are really putting ourselves in a tough spot with a W today.

Sure, but the Celtics with the starting lineup of Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford, and one of Rob or Theis are 30-7, and has one of the most dominant net ratings since they started tracking that stat.  Meanwhile, KD has had to play nearly 40 minutes a night since his return from injury just to get the Nets to the position where they are.  The Nets are better than the Bulls right now, but the Celtics are in a different class from the Nets, KD or otherwise.

I don't necessarily think we'll lose, but it's hard to argue that playing the Nets is easier than playing the Bulls. MIL knows what they are doing here - it's a losers mentality - but they know what they're doing. Credit to them for being so blatant about it. As you mentioned in the other thread, it sure would be swell if CLE could knock off BKN in the play-in.

I guess my overall point is that I think the Celtics have a real chance at a title this year, and I view the Bucks on the road as a much bigger obstacle than the Nets at home to this goal.  So give me the #2 seed.

I don't think Milwaukee is tanking, this after all the same team that went for the harder first round match-up last year to prove a point (and that also led to a harder 2nd round match-up).  Milwaukee isn't scared of anyone and they aren't tanking, I'm guessing they feel their starters just need some extra rest.

I think it’s the most likely outcome ….I m think 75-90% chance …..some goofy injury something oddball can always happen .

Buck don’t want to play Nets …..it’s that simple ….1/2 their team an’t playing what 7-8 players ?

They don’t want to win a easy winnable game the Pistons best player is listed as injuries.

come on Bucks call it what it is Chicken showing to avoid the Nets . An easy game for them to win.

We all knew this was going to happen ..a Nets vs Celtics playoff ….might as well accept it , go to work , and do best we can

This is obviously about seeding.  They’re about to get a week of rest.  They prefer Chicago over Brooklyn, because the team isn’t run by morons.

Looks like Hayward is going to miss the playoffs again:

I'm routing for the guy, but I'm glad the Celtics didn't commit significant cap space to keeping him long term.

Umm...have you seen how Chicago is playing lately and what Milwaukee has done to them this season?

We have little to no control left  ,  Buck and Philly matched Boston to Brooklyn ….all we can do it seems is loose to Memphis and I see no reason to tank that game at this point.
