By the end of his contract, Hayward will have made about $250M since he left Utah. I want to be cursed like Gordon  ;)

I get it, though. It sucks when you keep trying to rehab, only to go down again. He isn't purposely letting his team down, but it keeps happening just the same.

Just saw that. So glad Gordon chose to go Charlotte. He’s just so fragile.

The Charlotte Hornets announced today that forward Gordon Hayward will be out indefinitely with continued discomfort in his left foot. Hayward’s foot will be placed in a cast to immobilize his foot and he will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks. In his second season with the Hornets, Hayward is averaging 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 31.9 minutes per game in 49 contests (48 starts). – via NBA.com

Oh yeah I mean of course Hayward and his family are feasting lol. I just meant it in basketball terms.

I love watching Hayward play. So smart. So skilled. So well rounded offensively. He does everything well and plays team orientated ball. A beautiful basketball player.

It's a shame we miss so much of his career due to injuries.

It is a shame too that we are missing out on that Charlotte team who are one of the most fun teams in the league when Hayward is healthy and playing alongside LaMelo, Rozier and Bridges.

I think Mil will lose and Philly will win. So we either get 2 or 4. Tough decisions for Ime and Brad.

Looks like we are fully healthy with only TL out. I guess it's checkmate for MIL.

And for those saying 'Bring on BKN'. It should be noted that after today they will be 36-19 with Durant, a better winning % than we have on the season. That is not even taking into account all the Kyrie home games missed or the fact that we will be without Rob. I get it - beat the best to be a champion and all that - but we are really putting ourselves in a tough spot with a W today.

Sure, but the Celtics with the starting lineup of Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford, and one of Rob or Theis are 30-7, and has one of the most dominant net ratings since they started tracking that stat.  Meanwhile, KD has had to play nearly 40 minutes a night since his return from injury just to get the Nets to the position where they are.  The Nets are better than the Bulls right now, but the Celtics are in a different class from the Nets, KD or otherwise.

I don't necessarily think we'll lose, but it's hard to argue that playing the Nets is easier than playing the Bulls. MIL knows what they are doing here - it's a losers mentality - but they know what they're doing. Credit to them for being so blatant about it. As you mentioned in the other thread, it sure would be swell if CLE could knock off BKN in the play-in.
I don't think Milwaukee is tanking, this after all the same team that went for the harder first round match-up last year to prove a point (and that also led to a harder 2nd round match-up).  Milwaukee isn't scared of anyone and they aren't tanking, I'm guessing they feel their starters just need some extra rest.

This is obviously about seeding.  They’re about to get a week of rest.  They prefer Chicago over Brooklyn, because the team isn’t run by morons.

Do you think the C’s are being moronic playing the starters in todays game?

To some extent.  Toronto isn’t as easy a matchup as Chicago, but it’s still better than Brooklyn.

I guesS that is 49 played games out of 164 possible.   :-[

No he played 44 games last season too. But overall he's missed like 50% of all the possible games

Regardless of HCA, having to face the Nets, Bucks and then Miami is the most difficult draw you could ask for.

While I also prefer to see the Celtics avoid the Nets in the first round, the fear of the Nets around here lately is pretty overblown. They are not a conference powerhouse that people are picturing. KD is still great but old and slow on defense. Besides him and Kyrie the rest of the roster is nowhere near contender level on either end of the floor, and there are glaring holes on both defense and offense. It would also be great to see the Celtics eliminate them as Tatum and Brown take that next step towards becoming legit contenders. Who here wouldn't love to see us eliminate Kyrie and Ben Simmons early on? Plus, if you give them a chance to get Simmons back and integrated, they will be a harder matchup later on in the playoffs.

Simmons and the Nets have been managing his back issue and have been on same page, and should he continue clearing ramp-up hurdles, he will be able to return — yes, in the playoffs.

Sources: There’a optimism Nets star Ben Simmons could make debut during first round of the NBA playoffs as long as his progression continues in strengthening his legs and back. Simmons has been ramping up his workload and is expected to continue doing so.

If your the Nets, who would you prefer to face in round 1? Boston, Milwaukee, or Miami? If it were me, I'd want Miami out of those three.

I'd want Miami too. I like their main 5 guys but I am not convinced by their bench. I believe that bench holds them back and keeps behind the other top teams in the East.
