Watching this Lakers team really reminds me of the Celtics team that final year that lost to the Knicks. The names on the back of the jersey were guys we all remembered like Garnet, Pierce, Terry, Bradley etc. But they were on their last gasp. The Lakers are an even more exaggerated version of this with Howard, Westbrook, Anthony, Lebron and even AD. I know some have been a bit fooled by Lebron scoring a lot of garbage points and stat chasing this year, but if you wanted to see a sad play just watch the mccollum floater over Lebron just now on a one on one drive. Even two years ago that shot is in the stands (if mccollum would bother to even attempt it). Westbrook is obviously a shell of himself that doesn't need rehashing. I would Say Davis plays like he is 34 after all of his injuries. Its a very weird experience watching a team led by Mccollum, Valuncias, and Ingram make these hall of famers look so ordinary. Fortunately I don't root for the Lakers, otherwise this would make me sad the way that 2013 Knicks series did.

Yeah, I watched the 2nd quarter and they are real bad. So disjointed on both ends, looks like it’s their first time playing together.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Grizz without Morant and Bane beat the fully loaded Suns.  What's their record without Morant now?

Edit:  Looks like it is 20-2.

I will give Lebron credit, he is playing his heart out on offense. They need someone else to guard ingram though.

They actually were also without Adams, Jones and Jackson I believe. Think the Suns took them a little too lightly.

And their coach was ejected in the 1st half so backups all around.  It was a 1-point lead going into the 4th and the Grizz stretched it to an 8-point win.  That's hard to put on taking them too lightly.

I disagree. There are two ways you can take a team lightly. You can come out completely flat cause you expect to dominate. Or you can let a team hang around all game and they hit a few shots and it’s too late to turn it on. Have obviously seen the Celtics do both of these.

Will also add the suns had literally nothing to play for.

Down go the Lakers again,, even with AD back. Losing to the Pelicans tonight while the Spurs win. Love it.

Lakers lose. Underdogs to even make the play in game at this point. What a weird season.

Pretty amazing what the Pelicans have done. Don't know if the Spurs can hold on to the 10th seed as their schedule isn't much better than the Fakers.

Yup …I ve watched Lakers demise too,  and I kept thinking back to KG and Paul ,  getting old , not enough in the tank , the knicks games …..all of that ……..guys can play offense a long time , but it’s defense that makes you show your age . I think Lebron can play defense , but defense is more likely to get him hurt and hurt often comes from being weary , tired and not at your mental best.  So unless it’s a game winning game play he saves his best for offense , so he can stay on the court .

The Spurs are one game up and they hold the tie breaker.  The Lakers are going to have to make up 2 games with only 5 games left.

One major difference is lebron dug his own grave here

Think they could have gotten derozan instead of Westbrook right

Nets-Hawks game tonight feels kinda big. If the Nets lose, then the Nets would drop to the 10th seed and it's still a very tight group between the Nets, Hawks and Hornets. Cavaliers are struggling but they are still 2 games ahead of seeds 8-10 so it's hard to see much movement there in the final 4-5 games unless the Cavs happen to end the season like 1-4 or 0-5
