A week or so ago, just hours after free agency, this site brought out the pitchforks and was ready to march on TD Garden and riot there while calling for Brad and Wyc's heads. It was clear to almost everyone that the team would suck this year.

A week or so later, Brad signs Schroder for $5.9 million and everyone loves Brad and the Celtics look like they are for real in the East.

The fickleness and recency bias here is off the chart.

Maybe, we all should have had some patience back when it was just hours after the start of free agency? Maybe??

As for Schroder, isn't he just a taller, younger, worse at defense version of Kemba Walker? If Kemba was a bad fit for this team, why wouldn't Schroder be as well?

I agree with the overreactions being a bit much but personally I've kept faith in Brad and understand it'll take time to positively change the team under new leadership.

As far as Kemba vs Schroder, I think the biggest difference is the 34m vs 6m next year along with Schroder only being on a 1 year deal.  That along with Schroder not having a chronic knee issue.  I don't think you need to hide Schroder on D as much as you do Kemba either.

So someone needs to go to make room on the roster.  More trades coming or Parker gets releases.

Bye Parker.

Hopefully both. We're $6.6 into the luxury tax as of right now (including the Schroder and Kanter signings), so we'll probably need to make a couple more moves.

Brad Stevens showin' us a lil' sumpin'?

Granted he has more guards on his roster than any other team in NBA history, but, he's gettin' some stuff done here.

Thank God we have a starting point guard now... was freaking out with the "Smart as starting PG" talk.

Bye Parker.

Going to be a training camp battle for that roster spot, that’s for sure.

We are very fortunate to get Schroder for this price whether that’s due to Brad being savvy or just a little lucky with the fallout in LA.  Losing out on Fournier having his bird rights and seeing what he ultimately signed for with the Knicks did merit some criticism IMO.  We could actually have both if we are willing to go deep in the tax.  This is a good rebound back in free agency though.

lol this has zero to do with Brad. If anything Danny should get the credit because it is the team he built that attracted the contract chasing Schroeder to pick the Cs.

This is a case of desperate contract chaser meets cheap franchise with a decent team.

Man, I did not think this one would go through. I was sure someone would come in and make Schroder a better offer. We are very lucky to get a player like him for the money we got him on.

Yes.  A lot of disappointed C's fans here not very many days ago.  Now looks to be a completely different bench situation from last year.  I think they are a tough out as is.  But still interested in what they might add.

Well taller in and of itself makes him not Kemba Walker.  He also doesn't smile.
