Patty Mills is a fantastic signing for Brooklyn.

Exactly the type of shooter, speedy ball-handler that will cause nightmares for opponents playing off of their Big Three.

Lethal offense.

Brooklyn is loaded.  If they stay healthy they will roll through the league and may average 125 a night.

Sounds like we’re comfortable with Smart as our starting PG.

Hopefully this means we’re looking for a stopgap and/or long-time starter at PF. Maybe there are legs to the talk around us sniffing around Bagley (likely) or even Collins (less likely).

Bagley may actually be the best route to take a chance on if we can get him for a reasonable price, given that we can essentially cut him/not resign him the following year (I believe) if the Beal/free agent thing actually happens next summer.

Has there been any reports linking us to Bagley? I've only seen speculation around here and on Reddit, but I can't find the report.

Is Bagley an upgrade over Jabari Parker?  I doubt it.

Probably not by much.  For Jabari's contract, if he can even improve a little bit this year, get more comfortable in his role no reason not to keep him.
I mean no one wants to play here anyway, well except for Yam Madar.
To be fair, Fournier wanted to play in Boston and Cs told him no. So there’s that.

I think Fournier wanted to play in Boston because his agent felt they had leverage in that the Celtics traded for him, but the Stevens front office viewed the picks given up as a sunk cost.

The Celtics have interest in all of them but will sign none of them.

The Heat have rescinded their qualifying offer to Kendrick Nunn, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Miami couldn't afford to keep Nunn with the addition of Kyle Lowry and the extensions to Duncan Robinson and Jimmy Butler, but Nunn will now be free to sign with any team that gives him an offer. He's a solid 3-point shooter, but it's tough to see him having fantasy value if he's not in a situation where he's starting.

Patty Mills signed with Brooklyn over the Lakers

Patty Mills chooses the Nets over the Lakers, @espn says

Far from happy to see him in Brooklyn but if he'd gone to the Lakers it would have finished me.

Derozan to the Bulls, 3 years at $85m

https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1422649013069832193

Hmm ... I like that.

G: Lonzo
G: LaVine
F: DeRozan
F: Patrick Williams / Markkanen
C: Vucevic

I like the lineup more with Patrick Williams than Markkanen. Williams is a better forward than Markkanen because of his superior speed, handles, passing, defensive versatility.

I think Markkanen is going out in a sign and trade. Heard the T'Wolves were interested.

EDIT: Derozon was a sign and trade for Thad + picks.

Good on Pop for getting actual value for a FA who was bolting.

Bulls have three guys who can handle/initiate offense from the wings and all have excellent size. Promising stuff in Chicago.

Still don't see how a trade of Young ($14M) for DeRozan ($28M) is going to work.  CHI is over the cap with Caruso and Ball being added.  Maybe Markkanen is in it too at say $15M?

If the Spurs can spin Derozan leaving into Young/Markkanen/FRP/2 SRPs, I don't want to hear the word TPE ever again.

We could have tried that deal with Horford going to CHI but I am not sure they accept that   ;)  Seriously though, if Fournier was interested in CHI, it could of work but probably not interested.
