Don't LaMelo and Lonzo play the same position? Even if they move Rozier, it still seems redundant at PG. For NOP, they would be trading their starting PG for a player who probably should be a back up PG. This doesn't make sense.
For New Orleans it could make sense if Devonte Graham cost substantially less than Ball. If Graham is in the $10-12 million range, they would have a lot of cap space next year, which they could look to take advantage of to recruit a player who wants to play with Zion and whom Zion wants to play with, before Zion's extension kicks in and they're out of space. If Ball is $20-$25 million as he seems like he might get, that would significantly inhibit NOP's ability to make such a move next summer.
For Charlotte, I guess they'd want to go all-in on the Ball family. Which, no thank you, but have fun Hayward and Rozier.
