I got the homer thing and there's nothing I can do about it...
I've watched 40 minutes of his film from UCLA on to Blazers and OKC.
He runs really well. My daughter was a track star so I have a general idea about form and his is good along with the fact that he's 7'2".
In turn "he runs the floor well" gets back on D, looks quick in transition on offense etc.
His hands are very good. It's hard to have a 7'4" wingspan and have coordinated hand action. He has good hands for both receiving and making passes. Also watch him dribble, he has a good handle.
He doesn't pass much as if he gets the ball, it's his job to dunk it...he is always taller than any opponent in the lane...always.
From the line he's 62% which is ok.
They didn't have him shooting from outside.
His timing on blocks is good. His jumping is accurate. (His blocking game is much less dramatic than Robert's, but it is difficult for an offensive player to shoot over a 7'4" wingspan).
He uses his skinny frame well on defense. His feet are good. Without some more weight he will be road kill occasionally, but, he has a 7'4" wingspan and there aren't that many of them out there.
On offense he is a dunkathon. Hands are very good around the rim and he is very quick and aggressive underneath complete with being skinny. He's got some bark in him when going for the ball.
Love Tacko but I can't even compare the two players, Moses should be a legit backup center in a year or two, he's played 953 minutes in the NBA which isn't much.
Finally, Stevens got him. If you listen to Stevens talk about players that the Celtics have signed, in a round about way, Stevens will reveal why they signed the guy. "Kornet moves well on defense" was a quote when they signed him.
Don't think Stevens would have bothered to get Brown (who was signed as a FA by OKC after Blazers released him) if the Celtic's staff didn't like Brown's game.
I say he gets minutes, but, yes, his NBA career is hanging by a thread except, on the Celtics he's behind Robert who misses 50% of his starts...so there ya go.
