True. Kuzma would be excellent depth at the 4/3 for us. He may require more such as Parker, who LeBron may delude himself into thinking he can spell some of his minutes. Bet LeBron would love playing with TT Kardashian again.

This just reaffirms that you would not be able to get him for Grant.

I agree he would be a upgrade over Grant 100%
Tristan Thompson is a better player than Kuzma and costs less. Why are we making this trade?

Get rid of a locker room problem in TT, get rid of deadweight in Grant, and add cost-controlled depth at the 4/3.
Kuzma seems like a considerably worse locker-room presence

That was a long time ago and he seems to have matured. Kuzma has a good contract aligned with his production. He would be great off the bench.
No he doesn't. He's acting in the exact same way.

He's also regressing on the offensive end, having become truly terrible there, plays below average defence and turns 26 soon. Why is there interest in him? We could easily get someone of his level for the MLE
He isn't a good fit with Lebron and the Lakers have really mismanaged him.  I think he'd be a lot better in a different system.
Maybe, but I don't think that team is here, given our two best players are shoot-first wings
That may be true.  I do think Kuzma has a chance to be a solid player though and would without issue take a flyer on him for something like Thompson and G. Williams.  Seems like a risk worth taking to me.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Kuzma's a pretty solid player right now no?

After watching the Finals, clearly we need a big to get past Giannis. This wing duo thing is not going to do it, especially with Jrue Holiday merely 3 inches shorter than Brown. The game is about match-ups and we do not have the match-ups to get past the champs.

So I’m back on the JB for KAT train:

BOS In: KAT
BOS Out: JB, TT, however many picks/swaps it takes to get KAT

Smart/Pritchard/Edwards
Fournier/Langford
Tatum/Nesmith
KAT/Parker/GWill
Horford/Timelord/Moses

Add 1-2 ring-chasing vets and really believe the above can win it all, particularly if Udoka can turn KAT into a two-way big, or at least respectable enough to keep Giannis to 30 instead of 40-50…

How the heck else are we getting by the Bucks?

If there is a way to also move Horford and picks/swaps for Beal in a scenario where Beal demands a trade to Boston, we become truly unstoppable:

Smart/Pritchard/Edwards
Beal/Fournier/Langford
Tatum/Nesmith
KAT/Parker/GWill
Timelord/Moses

You get KAT, you still have a problem slowing down and guarding Giannis. KAT ain't guarding Giannis. Or slowing him down. No way. I would trust Brown to slow down Giannis more than KAT.

Giannis is at his best as a big wing/PF. No conventional center, like KAT is causing Giannis any problems whatsoever.

I'll take it a step further and say that I trust Smart to guard Giannis. If anything, the Celtics do have to personnel to slow down the Bucks, though Stevens needs to continue adding to the team.

You can't build your team around matching up with just one other team.  If BKN is fully healthy, they may be the team to beat.  Or something else might change and we need to beat an even different type of team (maybe Philly gets Lillard or something).  But that said, I do feel that we need more skilled size to compete as a general condition, not just because Giannis is so good.  So yes, Jaylen Brown for Towns works for me.  There are not many I would trade Brown for but Towns is one of them.

Maybe Moses Brown or RWilliams will be able to slow down Giannis.  Or maybe we decide to play a zone defense.  With all the picking and switching, the one on one match up (Giannis vs. Towns or whatever) doesn't seem to matter that much.  Just play good team defense with the best guys you have and if Giannis still goes off for 50 pts, what can you do.  It looked like PHO was doing everything they could.  Doubling and even Triple teaming him.  He was still getting buckets.  PHO has Crowder as their principal PF, not a great match up (also not horrible), but I am not sure that mattered.
