Two horrendous, conservative calls cost the Pats this game: not going for 4th and 2 at the end of the firsthalf, and kicking a FG in awful conditions with an old kicker.

Obviously, Falk had the distance. It just drifted left about 8 inches left. In retrospect, you probably go for it but it’s not a cut & dry decision by any means.

Especially when, even if he hits it, you’re giving Tom Brady about a minute and two time outs, and all he’d need is a field goal.  It was a horrible decision by Bill.

Tough loss, but I’m encouraged about the Pats team going forward. Defense really stepped up and We learned that Mac is the real deal. If the O-line gives him time he will find the receivers. Now they just need some better WR’s.

Man not a fan of kicking the FG. You really want to make Folk hit a career high 56 yarder in the rain? Even if you make it Brady has 40 seconds and 2 timeouts so its not like you've won.

I say go for it there.

But a great game.

Idk I think it's pretty cut and dry to me imo. Unless you have Justin Tucker on your team, kicking a 56 yarder in the rain is a lot less likely than picking up 3 yards for the down. That's not even taking into account that Folk is banged up.

I know people will debate the decision to kick there for the next week, but that was a hell of a game regardless.  One of the more entertaining games I've watched where neither team cracked 20, lol.
