I think Clarke being a better bench player would have helped us. It means starters can take a breather. Think of how many games we lost this year because of the bench. Is he a world beater nope. But would he have helped us, I think the extra 5 ppg could win you some close games. He also is a better defender with a better defensive rating 113 for Grant and 109 for Clarke. Those little margins would have not helped us in a blowout but a close game certainly.
I count 13 games we lost by less than 5 points so it could have made a difference possibly.
And Williams can actually spread the floor hitting the 3 at 37.2%, which is actually the most useful thing either of them does.
He can shoot but he can rarely get it off unless wide open. I can't believe that people are actually defending 4 points a game in 18 minutes which is quite frankly terrible. No one respects Williams it is not like he spreads the floor heck his team mates don't even like to pass to him.
That actually has real value situationally.
It does have value situationally that can't be argued . But you're literally getting next to nothing most of the time and he shoots 43% from the floor otherwise.
My point is you could get a much better veteran 3 D guy who could better use those minutes and the 2019 draft thus far appears to be a bad one for us and our roster save Romeo and he still could break bad, I hope not.
