Breaking down that last sequence:
- multiple double teams helped Semi make a stand against AD
- Kemba with a great steal as the shot was going up
- Alex Caruso hustling down the floor stopped the JB layup
- Semi with a great decision to pass it to Kemba
- Kemba drove with Schroeder on his hip and stops on a dime
- Kemba misses the open stop-n-pop
- Theis misses the follow (or was it late?)
- C’s lose by 1

MORAL of the STORY:
Don’t tip in opponents baskets!!!

AND MAKE FREE THROWS.

Brown missed two critical free-throws that decided the game as well

AND YET ANOTHER BLOWN GAME DOWN THE STRETCH BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO CALL A TIMEOUT DOWN THE STRETCH. PATHETIC. FIRE BRAD. tHERE WAS NOTHING GOING THERE.
no, this one's not on Brad.  made sense to go with it based on who the Lakers had on the floor.  Kemba had a makable shot even with the helter skelter passing.  he needed to make it.

For all Brad's faults, he's an elite ATO play designer.

That is absolutely the wrong call there - especially given that he LITERALLY drew up a great play for a Tatum shot just the previous play. A 1-12 guy getting the final shot on a scramble is not a good shot.

Just an awful in-game and end-game coach. He's lost us dozens of games down the stretch due to those kinds of dumb decisions.
he hasn't been an elite ATO play designer this year.  I have no problem with the decision to go for the bucket and not let LA get better defenders on the court and get their defense set.  Kemba had a very makable shot and Theis did get pushed on that put back.  of course, if Kemba made a decent outlet pass to Jaylen in the first place, he scores a layup instead of trying to fight to get control of the ball.

Good effort. It will take even more to beat the Steroid King and his Disciples. We have the team to do it, though.

We need Payton.  How sad.

We don’t need Payton. We need someone better than Teague lol doesn’t sound like the hardest thing to do.

Kemba needs to shake this rust off quick.  It’s going on too long.

I’m curious to what the team will look like when he starts playing well.

He's been rusty since last February when he went down with that injury in the ASG.

I say it again, this is Jaylen and Jayson team.

Get a supporting players built around them.

Kemba does not fit this team. He is a volume shooter  with average accuracy. We need a strong center to complement the 2 Jays.

Trade Kemba for a center please.

RIGHT ON TARGET
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Why did Tatum not cross half court on the last play? Theis and Tatum were on the baseline when the ball was turned over. Theis got back in the play with 5 seconds to play. That’s bad.

Kemba will be fine. He's got to get back in rhythm and at least he let Tatum and Brown do their thing tonight. He's finding his role on this team now that those two stepped up, and he's getting back in game rhythm from a long layoff.

Jaylen and Jayson are super fun young guys to watch develop but there’s something fundamentally wrong with this team and they’re going nowhere

Loads of injury and sickness. I would like to see this team healthy but I would make a trade for an upgrade if given the opportunity.

Love the original PP but don’t always like what he says as a commentator. Totally agree with him tonight though. Great game - one point game and got almost nothing out of Walker. No reason to hit the panic button. The tip ins are killer but bet JB is beating himself up about the free throws at the end.
His point about Kemba not having his legs yet is spot on.

Tatum was clutch as hell, and it was wasted because everyone else choked. Brown can't miss 2 late game free throws. He just can't. If we're gonna call him a superstar, we gotta hold him to that standard. It unacceptable.

Don’t disagree but even lebron and Giannis miss late game free throws... are they not superstars?

Jaylen isn’t a superstar yet anyways, he’s a budding potential all star
