We need Payton.  How sad.

We don’t need Payton. We need someone better than Teague lol doesn’t sound like the hardest thing to do.

Payton is better than Teague.

But he’s injured.

I honestly would’ve played Javonte Green or Waters instead of Teague. The only player who isn’t better than Teague on our roster is probably Carsen Brick Edwards
by the way, why no grant williams tonight?

Probably because the wouldn’t matchup very well against Davis or Gasol. Plus; he’s just not very good.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I bet LeBron doesn't want to see us in the Finals.  We have personnel that can defend and score against him.
Even last year...i think we could beat the Fakers in the finals...too bad we are a terrible match for the cHeat.

Truly delusional.

Heat beat us because they were better and then had no chance against the lakers just like we would’ve had no chance

The Heat played in Florida with no fans in the stands. Like always.

They were perfect against us but choked hard afterwards. And that choke has carried forward. They were in a groove during a weird situation and got lucky against us. No doubt the C's would have at least given Silvers Team a moderate scare.

Thought Nesmith defense has gotten pretty good. Just needs to start knocking that jumper.

Yeah he did a nice job on Lebron on a couple of plays tonight too. Held his ground and didnt go for the upfakes.

I think all the Kemba talk is kind of off track.

Will Kemba get backed to speed and average 15+ with 6 assists on good percentages and make some valuable plays? Certainly; I don't think anyone here will say that he can't perform at that level.

I think the bigger issue is that we have seen that he can't perform at a high level against teams that key in on him with length and big bodies. We just watched Schroeder basically nullify Kemba.  We saw Kemba absolutely disappear  against the Heat and be basically useless.

If we actually believe we are contenders the biggest issue is:
1. Our 3rd option is getting paid 35M+ keeping us from adding more depth/a better player than Kemba lol
2. Because of deteriorating health and diminutive size he is struggling to perform well in the postseason.

I never understood why we signed Kemba in the first place because he was never going to be able to replace Kyrie and he wouldn't put us over the hump. At this point it's hard to argue that either of those opinions are wrong at this point.

What purpose does Kemba serve to this team long term?
but at the time of the signing, he was a fourth all-star talent on the team.  if we were able to keep Hayward, there'd be less pressure on Kemba and he'd more than likely be as effective as he was last season

Their bench out scored ours by 20. Rob had 10 of our bench’s 15 total points.

Actually feel our big two are as good as their big two.

I don’t think Kemba feels that he is the 3rd option on this team. That is another problem.

It gets often overlooked, but the refs called a good game tonight. Particularly considering who our opponents were.

Our sloppiness tonight is nothing compared to the way the bulls lost to the blazers. They somehow find a way to let Lilard score 2 three pointers from 30 feet in the last 8 seconds of the game. Yep they were up by five with 8 seconds to go lol

All the people trashing Kemba forgot that he's the one who got that steal off AD at the end to even give us that last fast break...

Think this was the only meeting we're gonna have with the Lakers. So I guess we got swept by them this year, pitiful to lose at our home floor against them too.

Hopefully Smart is ok. Some of the closeup videos of his injury look a lot like an achilles tear.

This is going to be a great opportunity for Kemba to step up and get his game back. I also hope PP returns soon as that Smart injury doesn’t look good...maybe he misses a month of basketball?
