I'm not worried about Brown. He doesn't have a history of drops by any means. I think he will be fine.
The o-line terrifies me though. They are up to what? 5 offensive line injuries? Maye has reverted to super Maye (11 total td to 1 pick in 3 weeks) but hes going to have to play without any protection in 4 days. I worry that he may be impacted by being under siege.
Did you watch the Superbowl? It was very similar to this game, except there was no on-sides kick off to nearly botch. He missed multiple simple catches. I am worried. I think it is all in his head but nonetheless.
I am also very worried about the OL. The injuries are just ridiculous It is a big issue for the game on Thursday in my mind.
I couldn't honestly remember any specific drops from 2 years ago or the one they lost in 2023. I tried to look up the drops but struggled. In both games he had two more targets than receptions.
I think its pretty hard to catch ducks thrown from Hurts also. He's a very good contested catch receiver. I think yesterday was kind of flukey on his part. Not saying he is Deandre Hopkins, but a 3/4 drop game isn't the receiver he is. Thats all I was saying
I was wrong, it was not the Superbowl, it was the Wildcard game vs. SF. Really bad drops like in the Jets game
Wild-Card Game vs. 49ers (January 11, 2026): While with the Philadelphia Eagles, Brown had a pair of crucial drops, including a key miss on a third-and-5 with just over two minutes remaining, during a 23-19 playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
This is going to be a tough game. Short week, bunch of injuries, on the road, a lot stacked up against the Pats in this one. The Spread started at 1.5 in favor of CHI and is up to 3.0, I believe. ML, CHI is -155. Tough game to call in my view. I see it as understandable that CHI is favored at home, but it won't take much to tip the scales one way or another. Most everyone expects AJ Brown to snap out of it. I hope he does. We will need him at his best.
