can someone please announce when it's no longer on the table....

Resolution please >:(

Saw this on twitter... take it with a grain of salt.

I think it checks out though.  It would be the 1st with these many teams involved

5-TEAM BLOCKBUSTER TRADE

LAC receive Terry Rozier
MIL receive Lou Williams
CHA receive Gordon Hayward, Patrick Beverley, DJ Wilson
BOS receive TE (approx. $30-million)
OKC receive Nicolas Batum, future 1st pick (via CHA), 2x future 2nd round picks

It's a culmination deals being discussed.
Milwaukee gives up DJ Wilson and gets Lou Williams? 🤔

Dj Wilson and a late 2nd... which is not great

Charlotte pays to dump Roizer?

Doesmt work financially.

Dj wilson and a second does not satisfy the cba rules.

There is 2.2 million too much going to the bucks. (Or not enough going out.)

Dj makes 4.5
Lou makes 8

I think the proposed 5 team trade is far-fetched but who knows.  While they are at it, why not include Cleveland so that we get Thompson in a sign and trade (instead of the non-tax mid level exemption) and then Milwaukee can send something worth $2.2M to CLE to make the trade work (based on Darth_Yoda's numbers).

What this does is reduce the TPE we get but keeps the non-tax MLE available.  That means we can either sign someone directly using the MLE or still have the TPE to go after players with trades.  The net contract value we can bring in is the same but it gives us more flexibility either trade or sign.

The limitation with this is that we couldn't trade for a single player worth up to $30M without sending back something but I am not sure how likely it is that there would be a $30M player that we would want that would be availale for draft picks.  I think these are more useful as being broken up and used to fill in with $10M'ish players around our core.

TT is on his way to Boston.  If he signs, do we lose Hayward’s Bird rights, and thus our ability to do a sign-and-trade?

Training camp starts Tuesday.  Hayward and maybe others won’t be able to start practicing with their teams until this is done.  So I would assume this will be done by Monday at the latest.

Keith Smith tweeted this is a sign they have reached agreement on Hayward sign and trade.

Doubt it. Next week practice begins. I am sure he will want to get to Boston and get settled for the upcoming year, so traveling today, after Thanksgiving, makes sense.

Suppose the Charlotte deal falls through after all of this?

That would be lol worthy.

It won't. Charlotte would just waive and stretch Batum and then sign Hayward.

Hayward to Charlotte will happen whether the sign and trade portion falls through or not.

Hayward could pull a deandre Jordan

Yeah but we won’t offer him what Charlotte has.

Zero percent chance Hayward is in green next season.

Agreed. Not to mention Tristan Thompson’s agent wouldn’t pleased because that deal would fall through too.

Sounds like we're getting a conclusion to this either way soon though.

Why is Tristan wearing the same clothes as I am at the moment?
