I'm an Oregon fan. And what Pritchard is doing, shooting, passing, defensive pest, is not surprising me, it is what we saw the last couple years. Dana Altman is a coach who drills his players on the fundamentals, and plays complex defense. They tend to be ready for the NBA. The one aspect that has not been tapped yet is game winners. Pritchard had a slew of them, and rarely missed on the last shot. If open, I would trust him as much as anyone on the C's for a game winner.

Pretty telling that he was in there during crunch time Sunday night.

Would love to see him string a few good games together. If he and Teague can build a nice dynamic between the two of them, that’d be huge.

My brother from another mother is an Asst. AD for a Division I school in California. He saw a ton of Pritchard and said the Celtics got a major find in PP. Said he would never be a star but would become an instant fan favorite because he is tough, can shoot, is not afraid to shoot in crucial situations and is clutch as hell.

Pritchard is seasoned playing 4 years in the Pac-10. It appears he has honed his skills into skills that translate well to the NBA game. He has a high BBIQ, solid ball handling skills, an excellent shot and ability to hit from way downtown, though let's hope he isn't taking to many of those. He should be a decent defensive PG against PGs but I think he'll struggle defensively when switched off PGs.

I see a bunch of Fred VanVleet in Pritchard. If by the end of his rookie deal he is approaching that type of game, that would be a huge steal in the draft for Ainge.

The thing that I love is that he has an elite feel for the momentum of the defense. He can feel when he has room. A lot of college players come into the league and they get rattled by how much faster NBA players close and recover on them. He seems really poised and unfazed by having smaller windows to shoot. I think he's going to be better than just a rotation backup.

I agree. He’ll be better than a replacement level PG. He’s already getting crunch time minutes and I think in 2-3 years he’ll be a top-15 PG in the league and I think he can make an all-star game at some point. Not saying he’s the next CP3, but I think we got a steal with him.

He reminds me of a young Danny Ainge without the whining. Tough as nails, scrappy, can shoot the ball (though Danny was a better scorer/shooter). Great find by Danny.

He looks terrific so far. Really nice job varying his speeds and knowing when to attack/how to use his body.

Would love to see him beat out Teague for that backup point guard spot by the time Kemba comes back.
