Don't like it for the Bucks.
- 3 firsts + 2 pick swaps is a massive overpay.
- The Bucks need a closer. As much as I like Jrue's game, he ain't a closer. They gave away all these picks and they didn't even address their main weakness.
- Don't love the fit of Jrue next to Giannis. He's just a passable shooter (35.3% from 3 this season, 35.4% for his career). Imo, the Bucks should have targeted a deadly 3pt shooter. For instance, McCollum.
- I wouldn't have included Hill. He's a deadly shooter from the PG position who's perfectly happy to play off the ball on offense. Literally the perfect fit next to Giannis.
According to rumors, the Bucks are after Bogdan Bogdanovic. I believe they can offer him up to $10,235,263 in year 1 (=120% of his current salary), otherwise the Base Year Compensation rule would come into effect.
http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q93If they manage to pull this off, at least they'd finally get their closer. Not sure whether he's good enough to lead a contending team in the clutch, but he'd be a great fit next to Giannis. Personally speaking, I really like his game.
Great deal for the Pels.
