You know, I was all for the coach's challenge when they instituted it at the beginning of last year, but what I've seen of it thus far this seasons is a failure, and somehow it seems to have led to even more reviews. They've clearly made it a substantial threshold to overturn a call just to "pad their stats" and protect the refs, as I can recall numerous calls that were obvious upon review that they tried justifying with incidental or minimal contact that no reasonable ref would call a foul.

The whole officiating game needs majorly overhauled at this point. There is just way too much foul hunting going on now, which is a direct result of all of the rule changes to prioritize the offensive player and minimize even incidental defensive contact. Have to cut down on these crap foul hunting calls for the offense. Refs should absolutely not be as involved in these games as they are now.

There are players now, including Butler, who jerk their heads back on every play just trying to get a call, that should be an offensive foul.

And another Chroder flop.

He cant post up. He's useless agsinst them on offense.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Smart making me cringe routinely. Great defence, then gets obsessed with a cutesy finish to draw a foul. Idiotic play once again

Lol Brown gets pushed out of bounds right in front of the refs and no call. Then Theis gets a cheap one on the other end.  ::)

I've been willing to give Hayward an extremely long leash, the misfortune he's suffered in green has been horrendous but looking at it objectively, it's becoming increasingly difficult to not see him as the worst FA acquisition this team had made in some time right now.

I'd agree however I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who would have done marginally better.
It's just a shame how unlucky he's gotten. Whenever he's gotten a chance to settle this year, he's looked great. If Hayward never got injured in game 1 against Philly, we could be having an entirely different conversation right now.

I agree with you as well. Whenever Gordon settled in things were going very well for the good guys. However, that usually meant some sort of personal injury to Hayward wasn't too far behind.
