LAL are good; but they have been very fortunate not having to play healthy competition

Their title run is definitely among the easiest roads to a championship we've ever seen.

I'm interested to hear what people think the contenders are for easiest run of four playoff opponents.

2001 Lakers. At least this team faced Dame, CJ, Harden, Westbrook, Jokic and Murray. The 2001 team?? AI? 80% Duncan?  That’s it.

I dunno how much of an accomplishment beating that rockets team with harden and Westbrook is. Those are two HoF type talents obviously but they were really awful.  Feels like westbrook isn't washed exactly but he's not exactly a player you fear anymore.

Kinda crazy how easily LA has been slicing up Miami's zone this series. Yet another mark against Brad and our guys that we struggled so bad with the zone those two series.

Their passing is really exceptional.

I do think our team is lacking passing.

Healthy hayward would have helped there.

I miss how the team looked on offense with a passing big like horford in the middle.

Not surprising since they have two of the best passers ever with very high BBIQs.  What championship teams have had two better passers than Lebron and Rondo?

Frank Vogel deserves a bunch of credit.  Very good hire by the Lakers.

Not a mark against Brad but a testament to LeBron and Rondo. If we had Bron and Rondo instead of Kemba and Wanamaker we’d have made Miami’s zone look like a high school team

This is why I was thrilled about the season being canceled. Warriors heal and LeBron would have been another year older.

Laker franchise is going to tie the Celtics franchise

Agree 100%. LeBron and Rondo are great passers, but let's not kid ourselves—Boston really struggled against the zone and shouldn't have. "How to attack a zone defense" is an elementary part of basketball, often taught to kids before they're even in high school. The fact that it took Boston three games to figure it out is just sad.

That BUM Dragic hit all kinds of crazy shots against us...and he's out for the LAKERS...typical.

Lakers are also good at going up AND actually holding leads. Oh and they can finish games and make clutch plays when they have to. Literally all the things the Celtics couldn't do...  :-\

Any chance lebron could retire if they win this year?  He's not passing Jordan.  He'll have won with three franchises.  He definitely has plans beyond basketball.

Why not go out on top at 35?

AD calls them the new Kobe and Shaq.  So it looks like they plan to win 3 in a row.  That would tie Lebron with MJ.  Who am I to say he can't do that?

Lebron has 2 years left on his contract worth 80M.  He's still arguably the best player in the league and he appears to be in very good health.   AD is the best #2 that Lebron has ever had.  The Lakers could even be better next season.  They thought they had a shot a Kawhi so they waited on their free agent signings.  They should be able to acquire a better supporting cast for Lebron and AD next season.

Lebron has a team supporting him.  He's been working on his outside basketball interests for years.  One thing that might get him to retire early would be the opportunity to own an NBA franchise.

Yeah, I wouldn’t rule out Lebron catching MJ.

I wonder if Kawhi has any regrets about not signing with the Lakers.
