I figured since we have almost a full month of no basketball, maybe it would be nice to share any updates with our C's during their stay in Orlando.

Enes Kanter enjoying his packed meal + view:

Enes Kanter with another update from the bubble, sharing his breakfast and the view from his hotel room: This is getting better and better.

Tatum dropping off Duece at the airport:

Orlando views:

Jaylen Brown in his Hyperbarbaric chamber, (not Hyperbolic, you silly goose.)

Robyn Hayward on her husband's departure:

Robyn Hayward: Lots and lots of tears today. We knew NBA means lots of travel, but not for months at a time. Were so grateful for the time weve had together, but in a way, that makes it harder, especially for the girls.

Vincent P's gaming set up:

I can only picture what the LAN's parties will be like.  :P

I saw that.

Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised, but that is impressive.

It's true -- one size really fits all.

That means we're in with a redhot chance, given the complete and utter stupidity of Nick Wright, lol.

Only need to look on YouTube for compilations of his cringeworthy takes

Nick Wright also said Jayson Tatum wasn't a good pick, and that he was going to end up being a bust. He's also the biggest LeBron fanboy I've ever seen besides Windhorst. Right now, he's biting his nails wondering fervently who he should pray gets knocked out in the first round ---- Clippers or Celtics.

The Celtics are scheduled to have their first practice in Orlando today from 2-5 p.m.

My heart and soul is ready.

I love how it is literally all current players, and then there's Danny Ainge. Longtime life long member incoming!

Rondo disses the Disneyworld hotel room, calls it 'Motel 6'

https://www.masslive.com/celtics/2020/07/los-angeles-lakers-rajon-rondo-upset-about-disney-world-hotel-room-calls-it-motel-6.html

All this time to complain about things he doesn't have or should get, when he could've spent that useful time elsewhere on maybe improving his 'defense.'

Sheesh, talk about First World problems. While other people in the US are worried about their job status and the possibility of their homes being evicted or businesses foreclosed.

Maybe he's just trying to prove that he's a true Laker?

I was making a snide jab at Rondo's, "I haven't played defense in years," comment ---- but I like yours just the same.  :P

NBA really dropped the ball on this one.

They could've capitalized on NBA bionicles, I know I would've definitely spent good $$$ on a Tatum/Smart one.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Lol @ Rondo complaining about the hotel accommodations. The teams are staying at Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian, and the Yacht Club; it's not like they stuck them at the Disney All Star resorts (which are still just fine). In addition, the best teams get to stay at the best resort. In the Lakers (and Celtics) case, they are at the brand new Gran Destino Tower. Coronado Springs isn't necessarily rated the best resort at Disney, but this particular part of the resort is perhaps the nicest on Disney property.

The article below is pretty informative about the hotels where the teams will be staying. Most people here have probably heard of the Grand Floridian as it is often known as the creme de la creme of Disney resorts. Gran Destino Tower is actually considered nicer.

I realize this is tough on the players, but going in with a positive attitude shouldn't be too much to ask for. These guys make a LOT more money than almost anybody else on earth. Staying in luxurious resorts for a couple of months shouldn't be a catastrophic experience.

As if I need another painful image if the Lakers take this illegitimate season and take home banner 17 -- we get champion Rondo in purple and gold.

Stay healthy Giannis.
