I really want to watch my Celtics, but I just don't see how the season can be restarted again.  I guess there are things that could happen that would make things better, but I don't see how that happens in time to save the season.  I hope I am wrong.

G-league is suspended. I was thinking of going to a couple more games, too. But no more Tacko Time.  :'(

Chris Mannix on the radio was saying the NBA would prefer some sort of shortened season before starting up the playoffs, if the resume play this year. The reasoning being if they will be returning after 4-6 weeks, or more, that the players would need to play some games just to get back in shape and prevent injuries before getting into playoff games.

At some point I think they will need to set up a final decision date on calling the season. Not sure when that date would be but at some point, to not risk next season, they will need to call this season. I think a date in May will make sense. If things aren't looking good by then, call the season and start planning for the draft and next season.

I expect they’ll have best-of five playoff series instead of seven if there is a relaunch.  I have no evidence to support this speculation, but it feels unlikely we’ll see games until May if there is a restart, and going to a best-of-5 format could condense the post-season but still largely preserve its integrity.

I'm seriously thinking the playoffs will be cancelled altogether.

I wonder if there's any chance they would find a neutral site to play remaining games / playoffs without fans in the stands.  Just try to recoup some TV money and not totally cancel the season.

Trying to start things back up with disparate arena availability, with the difficulty of having teams and media people traveling all over the country ... it doesn't seem like that's likely to be feasible any time soon.

But if they just decided like, we're going to hold a week of games between all the teams at an arena in Las Vegas or LA, and then we'll have an abbreviated playoffs (say best of 5 all the way through ... maybe even with a smaller field) ... that seems like it could be plausible.

I'm just thinking it could be easier to manage if they only have to worry about one arena, one location.

I know that sounds crazy but if it's that or totally cancelling the season with no resolution at all, it seems preferable.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

so he’s paying himself tax free money via his non-profit to feed money to his friends who work at the arena? Interesting

Boston Marathon looks like it will be postponed in next 24 hours. It looks like organizers are looking at moving the event to the fall, maybe sometime in September or October.

From Rudy Gobert:

"The first and most important thing is I would like to publicly apologize to the people that I may have endangered. At the time, I had no idea I was even infected. I was careless and make no excuse. I hope my story serves as a warning and causes everyone to take this seriously. I will do whatever I can to support using my experience as way to educate others and prevent the spread of this virus."

I think some owners may do the opposite and push the league to enact measures to not pay the players for cancelled games.
