Williams dropped mainly because of questions about his work ethic (which seemed very valid when he first got here, but it looks like it has worked out)

Williams is a lottery-level talent, a player with immense talent. If he can show a commitment to playing hard, this could be a steal of the first-round. ESPN's @Mike_Schmitz compares him to another 27th overall pick: Clint Capela.

Any article about the pick from right after the draft says the exact same thing: incredible potential, very questionable work ethic. Will he reach his potential? Maybe not. But acting like he has no potential/no chance of being a starter just because he was the 27th pick is just ignoring how the draft actually works

****, like I said, its not your grandpa's NBA anymore. The Bucks have a generational talent, they don't have a traditional big whos a rim protector. Brook Lopez shoots threes. Joel Embiid has post talent and Rim protection, but he also shoots threes. Embiid scored 39 against us, but Theis and Kanter combined for roughly the same. We had more inside points than the Sixers, according to your logic, We shouldve won right? But we lost, why? Simple, the Sixers outshot us from three. Heck just today, the Sixers used the same formula to beat the bucks, with three point shooting.

Al Horford will start over Theis not because Theis isn't a Center but because he is a better player and a better fit. With Horford however, Theis will still play Center but as a backup. This notion that Theis is a power forward is idiotic.

I can see why a bigger guy would helpful against Embiid and the Sixers, but the Bucks?  A more traditional center would be worse against that team.  You don't want a bigger, slower guy trying to get to the 3 point line and beyond to get to Brook Lopez and someone with some quickness to slide in front of Giannis on his drives is far more important than having a big guy to challenge him at the rim.

Look at the Toronto vs. Milwaukee east finals series last season.

Marc Gasol is slow but he did what Horford couldn't do against Giannis.

Gasol stood inside the paint and raised both arms every time Giannis tried to dunk.

Horford did the same thing, but Giannis was able to dunk over Horford.

Giannis couldn't dunk over Gasol.

There are lots of good PGs out there that are below 6-feet.

But out of the 30 NBA teams this season, only 1 team is using a 6-8 Center.

Theis is not the best fit, the Celts just don't have a better option right now.

If Tristan Thompson or Derrick Favors gets bought out and joins the Celtics, any of those two would automatically replace Theis as the starting Center.

Even in international competition Theis is not being used as a Center because he's too short.

Actually by all accounts Theis is very long. He seems to have very long wing span in relation to his 6'8" height.   Very few have Rob Williams' wing span.
