Well spoken post by Kyrie Irving.

If some of us can put aside our blind hatred and READ it it makes sense.

Basketball is a sport we ALL love...we ALL love out Boston Celtics.

There ARE, though - bigger things in life than basketball.

That is what I get from Kyrie's post and he is correct.

I wish him well. He owes NO ONE anything but himself and those he cares about.

My GOD our Boston Celtics are 14-3......we are doing GREAT things WITHOUT Gordon Hayward. Gordon Hayward is FINALLY returning to form and this bodes WELL for BOS.....why the vitriol?

I am also thankful for Kyrie Irving's time in BOS and I wish him well.
At least we now know that Kyrie was a CBlogger since his high school days, back in 2009.
Those capital letters gave you up :)
All the best in BKN, say hello to Džanan and TP.

Kyrie and his band of purists that have graced us with their presence .Look up at the rafters take a trip to Hall of Fame of Celtic Greats.
This smokescreen of elitism and spirituality does not hold up to Kyries actions by withholding his plans since Nov, The Celtics did not get the opportunity to salvage any of the asset wealth paid for Kyrie or make plans based in  truthful information. That is my regret not your leaving .So go have your mental issues, just don't pee on my foot.

^this. We're upset by his departure costing us assets when we could've salvaged something for him if he didn't make a promise he ended up on reneging, not because he spurned us for another team.

I think I am upset because he was a big fake with no leadership.  He made us miserable to watch and made the team worse and then he quit on us in the last game.  I should not be surprised because his ego and quitting comes right from the guy he played with for years.

Irving will definitely pee on your foot in the elevator, and he won't acknowledge you.  He's a fake not just to others but to himself as well.  He is completely self unaware.

In regard to that novel he wrote the other day to say that life is bigger than basketball- he doesn't realize that he was being booed for how he lives his life, not how he plays basketball.  The booing was not basketball related at all and he doesn't get that.

TP Moiso-- for humour and simple yet precise reason for booing.

Kyrie Irving donating to the same Native American tribe that his late mother belonged to.

Looks like - to ME, at least - that Kyrie Irving is living a fulfilling life.

So what he reneged on us? We are a BETTER basketball team now....BKN will be a better team once they get Durant back.

I simply cannot agree with the narrative on this blog about Kyrie Irving and I won't.

You pulled me in again and I’m not sure why. It was all said yesterday.  The vast majority here basically agree that Kyrie was not straightforward, didn’t appear to give his best, and was a big disappointment overall.  Whether that means you boo him when you see him, just not cheer, scream “you suck” (chant), or applaud (that he’s gone or in deference to his time here) is up to each of us.

He’s out of sight and out of mind to me. I do think he does have some issues that make me think he’s troubled - that affects my view of how to react to him but I understand that doesn’t impact other reactions.

The great thing really is that all the “loss” from his leaving has actually become nothing but gain. As far as I’m concerned, at least in this case given the promising future that is apparent right now, that’s all that matters.

Furthermore - is there ANY shred of evidence of Kyrie Irving having mental issues?

Post it HERE. Put your money where your typing is.

TBH it is classless and completely baseless to speculate like this.

I know for a fact NO ONE here knows him personally.

There is just a lot of hate and misinformation going around and to ME personally it is EMBARRASSING as a lifelong Celtics Fan.

It makes us look small.

Fans have a right to boo if they feel compelled to.

Imagine being engaged to a lady for 2 years, some good times, some bad and then a few months before marriage at a dinner out, you tell the bride to be’s family, you cannot wait for the day to finally get here and look forward to becoming a part of her family if they will have you...day of wedding is upon us and groom is nowhere to be seen....stands up bride and family at the altar and then proceeds to marry his childhood, hometown crush...Think brides family is going to be sending him gifts and applause cause of two good years when in reality, he stood up their bride. He is forever on their crap list for sure and deservedly sure. If he was not one hundred percent committed to the bride, should have never got engaged and promised her the world.

I could care less now cause it did work out better for us. The biggest lesson to be learned is be careful what you publicly commit to if you're not one hundred percent on board.

OR...........

Imagine having your bride LEAVE you and go to BKN for what he assumes to be a better date (Let's be real, here - Kevin Durant IS quite the catch)....and instead of being JILTED we INSTEAD end up with the person of our dreams (Utah Gordon Hayward) AND a new FOX comes on the scene named Kemba Walker...

No SANE Man / Woman would sit there and feel jilted when the RELATIONSHIP is even BETTER than before.

It's like having the absolute best dating / marriage scenario play out in BOTH parties' favor but ONE party still wants to reminisce......

I'm calling Dr. Phil for Celticsstrong - heck "I" will sit in on the lecture too because this is CRAZY to me.

At this point you either

A. Love debating from the position no one takes

B. A flat earther

C. Kyrie Irving
ok fine

You left out D - Grown Man.

Just because I don't march lockstep with others on here on some issues don't make me ANY less of a person OR what your limited choices just stated.

And FTR - NO I am NOT Kyrie Irving, LOL..............that is the 2nd post from someone on here asking me if I'm Kyrie in the last couple of days.

You know I could have fun with this.

for someone who supposedly claims basketball is just a game we shouldnt care about it he doesnt complain making 30million$ a year to play that game..

with that you take the good and the bad. And the way he shot himself out of town last year, he really expects celtics fans to not boo him?
