love how folks that lost the narrative want to move on. Truth is Kyrie may be gone but the stench he left behind is not totally gone. Funny how it is those that defended him till his disgraceful exit are the ones that want to move on.

Not sure whom you're referring to, but I don't think I'm in that group. I just think you're helping that stench linger by continuing to dwell on Kyrie.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You can just quote me next time, buddy.

Here's the thing: my least favorite basketball player is James Harden. So you know what I don't do? Watch or follow Rockets games. I don't read articles about him or search his name on social media. As far as former players - I couldn't stand Terry Rozier when he was here, but I have no idea how he's doing in Charlotte and I have no desire to. Why make someone a trending topic in your life when you claim you don't like them?

With that said, I have moved on. I focus on the guys we have now. Still, I have no beef with Kyrie. I get a few free Nets tickets per season because of my job and I'll probably go to the games, but I won't be obsessively hating on him.

I guess I realized I need to remember that Kyrie is an actual human being that I've never met or talked to in my life. I don't dislike him. I shouldn't anyway. No grownup should.

I dislike how he played last year. I dislike how it seemed like the team couldn't get into a groove with him--largely because of his play. I dislike some of his answers he gave to the media (even though I understand that it is weird to talk in front of people some times). I dislike that he said he would resign, and then didn't.

why should you tell anyone how to enjoy their entertainment? You enjoy the NBA by moving on from Kyrie. That is fine. Why do you care how others enjoy the season.

Change the name of this thread to "Rent Free"

Because Kyrie is really living in some of your heads rent free. He's not here, you don't have to watch his games. You can move on if you want to.
After giving us a season of putrid basketball and causing us to lose assets in the offseason? Yeah I'm completely fine with "not moving on" if it means I can keep on bashing him. Moving on from Kyrie doesn't mean that you'll have to forgive and forget everything he did to screw the franchise, I can be completely fine with him not being on the Celtics while talking Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. about him because I dislike what he did in Boston.

^this. We can move on from Kyrie while still remembering and disliking what he did in Boston.

Kyrie was so two faced that he brought all this distain in Boston on himself. I'm glad his BS is in Brooklyn.

I guess Kyrie and Joel Embiid went to the same real estate training classes because they BOTH own land in folks' heads.

What is putrid basketball? When I think of "putrid" I think of the Suns and the Hawks. Teams with fanbases that would probably love to switch places with us because we were a playoff team last year and the player in question did have an All-NBA season.

And who cares if you ultimately forgive and forget. I don't think he does. So do you. It's just weird to me that 1.) people spend so much energy on a player they expressly dislike after he's gone. 2.) the people who wanted him gone the most are mad that he had the audacity to leave... It's all very peculiar, I say. Very peculiar, indeed lol.

Enjoy what you want. I'm glad you seem to still get so much entertainment out of him. Fans should enjoy their favorite players no matter what team the suit up for.

Villains  are fun and entertaining.  I don’t think we would have enjoyed the Rocky movies if we had to ignore everyone he fought because we didn’t like them.  I don’t like Harden or Rozier either but because of that I’m interested in them.  I want to see Harden take 40 shots and go 0-20 from 3 and clash with Westbrook and lose the game.  I couldn’t stand Kobe but that made me more interested in him.  Same thing with Irving.  He’s a big part of our entertainment- the reality program called the NBA.  Ignoring the players that you don’t like makes for very bad entertainment.

As odd as I think the Kyrie dislike is on here I think the most passionate fan bases ALWAYS have a bad guy to focus on.

Some Laker fans were ready to burn Shaq's jersey when he came to BOS. If we would've made the Finals in 2011 "AND" beat LA in it? With Shaq? I'd bet they'd be frothing at the mouth.

Kyrie wasn't completely honest with us....took us to the dance with his promises, made videos promising his eternal love for us.....he THEN left us on the dance floor and made off with his other flame from BKN. Even with THAT we had some MEMORABLE dances together last season (who can EVER forget the Christmas game winner vs elite defender Jimmy Butler?)

IMO can't fault Kyrie for hooking up with the better date...she is closer to home, has talented friends in Durant, and she offers a fresh start.

All we can do is show him through our head-head match ups, our team play AND our overall success that he made the wrong choice of dates.

So far, this love story is still being written. As the World Turns. Kyrie is still Young and Restless.

And this is where we can agree to disagree. I enjoy the Celtics and rooting for them. I don't actively seek out "villains" to root against and my entertainment level isn't impacted at all. To each their own.
