MJ, Rodman and Bill Walton.

Utah in line to build the best defense in competition.
Also have to love the proven championship synergy between Rodman and MJ. Both might be problematic due to personalities but they proved they could work together at the highest level. I think that important when looking at teams that have combos like that.

Walton loved to have a bruiser next to him too. Walton was a finesse player. Needed his PF to provide physical toughness. More synergy there as well.

Was hoping Rodman would fall to me.  Having the best rebounder in league history is always a nice thing to have, especially when that player is one, if not the, best defender as well.

McAdoo is one of those strange player type guys.  Fantastic stats early and accepted a bench role late, but I just find him hard to fit in with most teams.  The right team and he can be fantastic though.

With 5(2) Boston Celtics take Bob Mcadoo
A very good, under the radar pick. His first 4 years in the league he won ROY, MVP, 3 scoring titles, led the league in MPG twice and FG% once. A legit extremely efficient, 30/15 player that could not be stopped in his youth.

True. It's why he thrived with McHale in Boston and that guy I can't name in Portland.

Good old Ray Allen.  Was definitely in consideration for my 5th round slot (along with Rodman and a few other players).  I imagine he would be an even greater shooter if he was in prime right now and be giving Curry a run for his money as best shooter in the league.

Hit me up if you want to trade up to 5(4).  I'm looking for any two picks in rounds 5&6.  Will offer 5(4) + 8(9) + a swap in your favor in later rounds.  I'll do a scan for some trade candidates in the meantime and will make my pick in 5 minutes if nothing.

That's a solid starting five you have there right now.  Assuming CP3 understands his role, they would seem to mesh very well.

I think my favorite thing about Ray is that he's shown the ability to take a step back and play a lesser role for the sake of winning. That's incredibly important in these types of games.

That is a lot of athleticism PG through PF.

CP3, Ray Allen, Vince Carter & Anthony Davis.

Maybe Kareem too depending on which year you pick.

later on.  He didn't get along all that well in Milwaukee which is why they basically dumped him for Payton's expiring contract.  He is the perfect example of why the season chosen is often so important in these type of drafts.

With the 4th pick in round 5 of the 2019 CS Historical Draft, the Utah Jazz select a guy who never lifted a weight before age 24:

I don't know if Pettit will start, be 6th man, or be traded.  But I couldn't pass up on a guy who I thought was by so far and away the BPA.
