Boy...Philly might be is a bad spot. Likely they lose Butler, Reddick and Harris.

And no real interest from any max players ...

Toronto also if Leonard bolts.

Reddick will be an underrated loss too. Obviously Butler + Harris are better and all-star caliber, but over the last 3+ years Reddick for the most part has been their best pure shooter on the team and one of their best perimeter players. Lose him, as well as Butler and/or Harris and PHI is basically a team with Simmons, Embiid, thin bench and not much shooting unless Simmons learns how to shoot.

It is rather unlikely that the Sixers lose all 3 of Butler, Harris and Redick.  If they did, they'd have around 60M in cap space.  They could go after Brogdon and Horford as an example and have plenty to fill out their bench.

In Butler's case, the two teams besides the Sixers that he's meeting with so far are the Heat and Rockets.  Neither of which can get him without the Sixers doing a sign and trade.  The Sixers could actually come out better by signing and trading Butler than giving him a full 5 yr Max.

So what's the deal with Butler's interest in Miami? I find that interesting.
Ego. I think Butler considers himself a bonafide #1 offensive option, alpha superstar and wants to be the man somewhere. He won't be that guy in LAL, Philly or Houston. He seems to have hated being the second banana behind Derrick Rose in Chicago, then Towns in Minny and both Simmons and Embiid in Philadelphia. In Miami, he would be in the role I think he wants to be in, being the face of the franchise.

Wonder what Miami would give up in a sign & trade? Old friend Olynyk might not be a bad fit next to Embiid.

Yeah, KO would be interesting, even if just as a backup big. Guess a lot depends upon whether Harris resigns.

Where is Reddick going? Any reports? Wonder if Doc wants him back on the Clips.

Add Jimmy Butler to Tobias Harris as the Nets backup plans to Kevin Durant.

Sources: Jimmy Butler plans to meet with the 76ers soon and has interest from other teams with maximum salary space, including the Lakers and Nets, and sign-and-trade possibilities elsewhere.

I don't agree. Toronto is much more than just a Lenard. Siakam, Van Vleet, amazing players. BTW, i am so glad Danny finished a deal with Kemba so fast. We could of end up with no one.

Well, yes Toronto has very good players, but really without Kawhi they take a huge step back.

What Butler wants is his 5yr Max contract.  If the Sixers offer it to him tomorrow, he won't meet with anyone else.  Personally I'd offer him and Harris both 5yr/175M.

So that means Boston is back on top with Milwaukee for the Eastern Conference reign.

Come on Boston, add a big. We need to defeat the lakers.

The Clippers are exploring the feasibility of signing both Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler in free agency, @NYTSports has learned

Leonard wants to be joined by a top-flight free agent if he decides to leave Toronto for the Clippers and Butler's rugged two-way game makes for an intriguing pairing. Clippers adviser Jerry West is also a known admirer of Butler

Interesting.

I still think Kawhi stays in Toronto, but if he does leave I really hope it's for the Clippers w/another star joining him.

Anyone but the Lakers.

I still believe horford amd leonard go there.

My dream right now is 2 fold.
Sign and trade flat earth to brooklyn.
Tpe and filler to charlotte
Kemba to boston.

Then sign and trade horford to lac for assets/contracts (harrell plus)

Not only are we avsuper fun team, but lac can add butler, leonard and horford and be the best team in la again.

Shai
Butler
Kawhi
Gallinari
Horford
