Perfect scenario is getting Battier instead of Daniels!  I guess Daniels is a nice consolation prize.

we can all dream...can't see houston trading battier now they have no yao and mcgrady still gimpy

1. we rid ourselves of tony allen
2. gabe wasn't going to be resigned anyway...no loss
3. walker has been surpassed by giddens and was not the answer at wing
4. WE GET TO KEEP SCAL...a guy who has a bigger expiring and a guy who actually is an impact on the floor. we will get something out of this
5. boston still has their LLE to get a decent point or another big off the bench
6. baby isn't involved so they can go a resign him

this is the perfect scenerio for the Cs

We really don't know the answer to 2 and 3.  Walker last year was ahead of Giddens and is about 3 years younger.  He might be worth keeping around.  Pruitt wouldn't be bad as a third PG in spot duty and is very cheap.

i seem to have read danny and doc feel giddens is ahead of walker...i cant see them keeping both now...as for gabe...if you trade him you still have the LLE to get a legit PG behind rondo. would love for the pacers to throw in deiner

i dont think scal and tony are in the deal together...it is one or the other with gabe and walker IMO..most likely tony.

yeah, gabe, walker, and tony makes a lot of sense. Indy gets a couple of young players that they can look at for a year for very short money and the Cs keep roster spots and the LLE while landing a backup wing...

depends on how much IND likes Walker and Pruitt, I would guess.

once watson is signed i dont believe he can be traded until some point during the season next year.

IMO i think it goes down like this:

walker, pruitt and tony go to the pacers for daniels

boston resigns baby

boston uses their LLE on a back up point

robert swift is signed as the 3rd big off the bench

scal stays put, plays some PF prolly gets traded at the deadline...

roster ends up:

1 rondo
2 ray
3 PP
4 KG
5 Perk
6 Sheed
7 Eddie
8 Daniels
9 Baby
10 Scal
11 Giddens
12 signed point guard
13 Swift
14 hudson
15 one more

my only problem is there are enough roster spots to have resigned powe and allow him to be #15 while getting better...then turning him lose whenever he is ready...

sounds good to me. I just don't want the reason that Powe wasn't/isn't re-signed be because of  needing a spot for Swift.

i appreciate that he is a big Cs fan, but he was not looking so good in SL....maybe that wasn't a fair measure. but at least we know what Leon can do.

Well.... that's a little optimistic given we don't know the details.  Tony+Pruitt+Walker have contracts totaling $4M.  How many years is Daniels signed for... 2? 3?  is it better to have $12M tied up in Daniels or $4M tied up in Tony, Walker, Pruitt?  (Tony and Pruitt are expiring contracts; Walker is team option next year).

I just dont think Powe will play in the NBA this year.  Perhaps next year, but not this year...

I'm all for that roster, insert Powe in there (maybe instead of Swift) and we are set to roll!  :)

I just hope no1 picks Powe up in the meantime since I only want him to play in green where he's best suited. Danny will take a good hard look at him in febr if he's still available. I'd rather take Fazekas over Swift though.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!
