Ugh. I know pickins are slim at 54, but I've never seen anything in Watson that leads me to think he could ever even be the 12th man at the top level.

And to nobody?s surprise Bronny goes to the Fakers

I wonder if Bronny is embarrassed.
I know. Horrible parenting - such blatant nepotism. I?m embarrassed for their whole family.

I feel bad for the kid?he?ll never escape his dad?s shadow now. The worst thing for the Fakers would be to compound things by playing him significant time in the NBA when he needs time in the Gleague to develop away from the spotlight.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I don?t think we should use a roster spot on Watson. I am fine with him on a 2-way. Would have preferred more ceiling but it was pick 54.

Watson is somewhat reminiscent to me of Brandon Clarke. He'll come into the league a full year older than Clarke.

They measured the same height, but Watson (7') has 4 inches on Clarke's wingspan (6'8"). Watson also has almost 30 pounds on Clarke when they were drafted. Watson also Clarke's verticals were significantly more than Watson (8", but some of that may have been due to training).

Watson showed more passing/playmaking than Clarke, as well as more shooting, but they both played a similar role in the Gonzaga system, playing next to very similar players in Tillie and Timme. Clarke's probably a better/more electric finisher, but Watson showed more ball-handling and outside abilities.

If Bronny can get his shot up to serviceable levels (33% 3PT%), he could be a useful role player for LAL. They could do with another defensive guard.

At the moment they only have Gabe Vincent who is an unreliable shooter also. And a bigger SG in Max Christie who is also an unreliable shooter but more importantly a non-passer non-ball-handler reluctant shot taker. Bronny has value as a connectivity player over Max Christie. That is what really cost M Christie last year and why he lost his playing time. It is just can Bronny hit enough shots to be on the court.

I like the mould of a player like Bronny on LAL. Next to ball-handlers like LeBron and A Reaves. A defensive guard with limited offensive responsibility.

I also wouldn't stress if Bronny can not be this from Year One. He has time to fix that shot. LAL can afford to be patient. Particularly with a 2nd round pick.

He shouldn't be embarrassed. It is like that actress ... Maya Hawke? Ethan Hawke's daughter? When the media were making a big deal about all the nepo-babies in Hollywood.

She wasn't embarrassed by it. She aknowledged it and was grateful for it. Being a nepo-baby gave her the opportunity.

It will come down to what Bronny does with his opportunity. If he develops and proves he belongs in the NBA, it won't mater a dang thing how he got there.

It is up to him with what he can do with this opportunity.

Agreed, he shouldn't be embarrassed.

But, he's also lying when he says he's his own man who wants his own path.  If so, he wouldn't have hired Klutch, forced his way to the Lakers, etc.
