Can't shoot...true. But lets take a look at what he does do well. One of the fastest players in the NBA, One of the best at breaking down a defense, Arguably the best defensive PG in the game today, one of the youngest starting PGs in the NBA, One of the best ball-handlers in the NBA, and he was/is the starting PG on a championship team. True his stock is high but you are taking a huge risk assuming that he can't get any better. If he gets just a little better he is a Tony Parker who plays defense and that would make him a legit MVP type of player. If he's as good now as he will ever be, he's still a top-10 PG...I can live with that. We are to quick to forget that we traded Chauncey and Joe Johnson...Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on...

If we keep having threads as these, we will lose our freedom of speech. This is worse than yelling fire in a theater or calling in a false bomb threat.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

tony parker has no jump shot when he was a rookie for the spurs. but he has the ability to penetrate and finish just like rondo. give rondo little more time, and with the experience he's been gettin', i will not be surprised if he can surpass tony parker.

rondo's in the top 5 PGs in the league, and to be honest, rondo is the team's MVP right now!

"Trade Rondo"

Every now and then it appears in the "latest forum topics" section to the right of this website.

Time and again,

I laugh.

Rondo is as good as he's gonna get.  He should have broke out this year but instead he is playing   the same, which is good but not great.  He is going to demand a hefty salary in a year and I don't think we should invest in a point guard that can't shoot and isn't even the 3rd smartest player on his team.  It's known that Doc can't communicate with him and that's why they kept Sam around.

Rondo is a good player but I don't believe we will resign him and so if you can put a package together that lands a big and then sign Marbury.  I think our team is better.

A lot of people will disagree with this because of our current record but is Rondo the reason we have a great record?  He hurts and helps this team and we've won despite his faults more times than we've won because of his positive attributes.
If this isn't a joke can we take tommy points away?
Only read the 1st post but wow great idea.  Trade the future of our team. ::)

I say we burn Steve at the stake, he must pay for his sins of the past!

It's always funny how old threads can come back to haunt you, it's even funnier that you brought it up, Steve.

We all had some pretty hilarious posts, in retrospect, regarding the value of Al Jefferson/Gomes/Telfair over KG, and we all know how that worked out.
