Stevens has made some adjustments to his rotations, which a lot of us have been asking for a long time.
It's not perfect yet, but I like finally watching Horford and Baynes together.
Rozier and Morris their minutes somewhat limited.
And Brown being in the closing line-up.

It gives me some belief that Stevens has some new tricks on his sleeve for the playoffs.
Agree, seems to be a step in the right direction.

I think Brad has been playing possum the whole season.

The rotation used against the Pacers is most likely what Brad will use in the playoffs.

Shortening the rotation makes the team more efficient.

Had a feeling about this.... lets see for sure. Brad is taking an NCAA giant killer approach to this. He knows the playoffs is the real challenge and so he was just pacing his team and plotting for the run. That is why to him it was more important to get GH ready for the playoffs than to amass regular season wins. As far as seeding is concerned, who cares you are going to have to beat the good teams to win the chip. Home court actually puts more pressure on the home team to hold serve.

spoken like a typical Celtics fan... ::)

if brad has been "playing possum" in favor of securing a top seed in the east then he needs to not be a coach in the NBA now or ever again.

Many people are saying that the difference between Brad Stevens and Mike Brown is that Mike Brown has lead a team to the NBA finals.

Lets get Tyrone Lue in here as well, because he also has totally lead his team to finals. Absolute contrarian nonsense.

Actually, your boy Tyronn Lue coached a team to the NBA finals THREE times- and actually WON the NBA championship as a rookie head coach.  You might remember because he outcoached Brad Stevens and the Celtics in the ECF in back to back years.

LeBron says you're welcome, Tyronn.

I don't believe Red himself could have coached this team in the "player empowerment era". Kyrie is a handful (when he is happy and engaged) when he is a FA to be, and his feels get hurt, he is impossible to work with. Remember he totally destroyed CLE locker room before he came to Boston.
Morris Sr is also a known malcontent. Irving signed to a long-term contract (or gone), and Morris Sr and TR3 playing elsewhere makes this a more cohesive team.

1.  He managed the minutes/games played of his best player in such a way that he was available for the entire playoffs?

End of list...

Add to that is that he turned Kyle Korver into Bruce Bowen and kept the Celtics chucking 3s when they could just simply attack the basket.

Glad Stevens continues to be the Celtics coach...how about bring back Rick Pitino huh???

The problem with the Stevens haters is that they can't understand that the Celtics OVERACHIEVED last year.  By being only 1 game from the Finals last year - guess what - meant that anything less than making the Finals would be a failure, an almost impossible task to achieve.

With the Bucks and Raptors improving and the Celtics having to reintegrate Hayward and Irving into the starting lineup, I knew the likelihood of the Celtics winning the East was very remote, and that has turned out to be exactly the way I thought.

Some on this board assumed wrongly that the Celtics would be great from the start this year by simply adding Hayward and Irving to the mix without considering Hayward having to get healthy again and the impact the lineup changes would affect Rozier, Tatum and Brown.  That miscalculation is on the Stevens haters not on Stevens inability to coach.

I agree totally with the owner; Brad has done a great job with the team this year; as well as anyone (except those with unrealistic expectations) could expect.

I doubt the Celtics will advance past the 1st round and may even lose to the Pacers.

The fact is the East is now stronger than ever and the Celtics may not have enough talent to win the East with the current roster no matter who is the coach.

So who of these 4 should we be hiring to replace Brad:

Stan Van Gundy
Frank Vogel
Mike Brown
Tyronn Lue

Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
