Many people are saying that the difference between Brad Stevens and Mike Brown is that Mike Brown has lead a team to the NBA finals.

Lets get Tyrone Lue in here as well, because he also has totally lead his team to finals. Absolute contrarian nonsense.

Actually, your boy Tyronn Lue coached a team to the NBA finals THREE times- and actually WON the NBA championship as a rookie head coach.  You might remember because he outcoached Brad Stevens and the Celtics in the ECF in back to back years.

Can you list the things Tyronn Lue did to outcoach Brad Stevens?

1.  He managed the minutes/games played of his best player in such a way that he was available for the entire playoffs?

Well, if the Celtics end up with the best player in the NBA during the later half of his prime, Lue is definitely a name to keep on mind

I think Brad has been playing possum the whole season.

The rotation used against the Pacers is most likely what Brad will use in the playoffs.

Shortening the rotation makes the team more efficient.

if brad has been "playing possum" in favor of securing a top seed in the east then he needs to not be a coach in the NBA now or ever again.

I think the Celts this season are more afraid of something like last year happening again.
Avoiding injury and being fresh at the start of the playoffs are things apparently more important for the Celts this season.

I can't remember who mentioned it but someone said that the starting lineup of Kyrie, Brown, Hayward, Tatum and Horford has pretty much not seen the floor together at all this season after the starting lineup was changed. The fact that Stevens wouldn't even go back to that group at the end of a game is baffling and enough to fire him IMO. Those are your best players and the lineup with the most potential and you don't go back to it AT ALL? Fire him.

Jaylen Brown's poor free throw shooting has quite a bit to do with this IMO.  He's shooting 53% in the 4th quarter from the free throw line.  It's very frustrating because he often shifts momentum in our favor, only to kill the same momentum by missing big free throws.  I hope he figures it out because his transition ability can be a game changer in the 4th quarter.

Interestingly enough, it turns out that Jaylen plays the most 4th quarter minutes per game of any player on the team.  He just happens to play most of them before the 4:00 minute mark.

Stevens has no real justification for not trying out this lineup. It doesn't even have to be in 4th quarters either. Brown's free throw shooting isn't going to be a deterrence to him finishing games.

If Brown is playing lock down defense, he will be on the court finishing games, especially since he has shot 54% from 2 and 49% from three over his last 13 games.
