The plan is, sell my seats to every game of the 2019-2020 season and then give up my season tickets. And still be a Kyrie fan, because I’d be tempted to leave this dumpster fire of a supporting cast too.

Not even remotely kidding. The Pacers have lost 7 of 8 and we still can’t even claim 4th. I’m quite tempted to email my ST rep and say that if they pay me I’d consider wasting my time attending a playoff game, just to very, very clearly express myself.

Yup. Officially p---ed.

We did claim 4th (for now). Thanks not to our team but to Aaron Gordon and Jonathan Isaac of the Magic.

The game tonight is a good example of what the future holds without Kyrie and Al. We've severely overvalued our three young players. Shhh...Don't tell the Pelicans though.

Our 3 "young guys" combined for 20 points on 8-27 shooting tonight. DLo by himself had 27 points on 12-24 shooting.

Maybe the young guys are tired. It's a long season after all.

So we hold the tiebreak? Cuz we have the same record. And I have zero faith in this team winning on the road in Indy next week.

TP to you for investing what seems like equal time into this team this year than what I have put in, and not being ripsh*t right now.

I have held it in, and maintained faith, for as long as I can.

It's sucks this season but whenever I get ripEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. I try to think of the other, worse, seasons I've watched from the Celtics over the years

IS Terry Resigned? --- Not unless the price is right. ("right" for me would be less than 4 years, less than $12 million per year)
Is Morris Resigned? --- No.
Is Hayward shopped? --- Danny's always shopping everybody.  My guess is nobody bites based on what we've seen so far.
Does Horford opt out? --- Yes.
Does Horford Extend? --- I think he will. (Question is for how much ... ideal IMO would be 4 years, $80 million or so.

What are your takes on if the offseason goes south?

If Kyrie leaves that changes the timeline for the team.  The ceiling would be lowered in the short term, though probably not any lower than it's been this season.

I expect that if Kyrie leaves the team focuses on extending Horford and finding a reliable, cost-effective replacement in free agency, which probably will not be Terry Rozier.

The interesting decision point here will be the draft.  If they aren't able to pull off a trade for AD at draft time, that means they'll probably be using a bunch of picks.  That would mean the roster becomes even younger; that combined with no AD would make Kyrie leaving seem far more likely.

In that scenario, we're looking at a very young team led by Smart, Horford, Hayward, Tatum, and Brown.

I'd be fine with that scenario.  It's got to be more fun than what this year has been.

With that said, if things fall apart re: AD trade discussions, I wouldn't be surprised to see Danny turn around and try to trade for Bradley Beal.  But, as good as Beal has been, I think it'd be fair to wonder if he's worth surrendering a major haul.

We need a playmaker-deluxe point guard, not another ball-dominant gunner. Plus, does Beal not have a little history of being a headcase in his own right ?

I don't think Beal does, but I'm happy to stand corrected. I think he and Otto Porter Jr. were always the good character guys of that Wizards team.

I don't get how some people think next year's team will be more fun to watch without Kyrie on it. This team doesn't play consistent basketball whether Kyrie plays or not.

team is a lot of fun with Kyrie. Is it better? That is the question. Team is absolutely better with him when he is not stopping the ball movement. Team is better without him when he stops ball movement.

Pray the kids pan out.

Would have no interest in another miserable rebuild.

Danny would probably match $12 million per year for Terry unless there is better value for an equivalent or better PG.  For all of his flaws, Terry would provide a stable presence for the next year or two.  His contract would also be relatively easy to move if a big trade presented itself.

I agree with you on everything else.

Nothing about Terry Rozier says "stable presence" to me.

Yes; more like “stagnant presence”. It will be great next year if we don’t have to watch him ruin potential runs by taking no-pass pull-up threes when the Cs have a fast break, or dribble to nowhere in the halfcoirt offense before hoisting a fallaway three or contested shot in the paint. Then on defense there’s letting his man go right by him to the rim, getting wiped out on picks, failing to communicate on switches.

Enough.

Lol, for real. No interest in Rozier as our starting point guard
