People will always blame Kyrie for any of the youngster's struggles and failures. Rozier was horrible the whole year? It's Kyrie's fault for taking his starter spot. Brown playing like trash to start the season? Kyrie's fault for not passing enough. Tatum having a mediocre year? Kyrie shoots too much! They use Kyrie as a way to hide from the fact that our young core isn't good enough to build around with a true star.

My vocal issues are much less about Kyrie and much more so about the fans on this blog just flat out overrating him and believing him to better than he is.  Kyrie is who he is, but he isn't a franchise player and if the fanbase recognizes that, then I will be less vocal about it.

Good post

They wanted to believe... we all did

That he was held back by Lebron

But now we know

Irving is a classic robin

The sad part is that he thinks he is batman

No Question about his talent, but if he stays I would like him to adjust his game and play with CBS system.
This season CBS and all other players had to adjust to play with Kyrie instead of the other way around.

It'd be nice if Brad actually had a system. Our offense was pretty much pass-pass-pass-chuck a 3 mixed in with a few dribble handoffs. We needed more offball movement, more backdoor cuts, more pick & rolls with Kyrie/Al and Gordon/Al. I wish he'd take the same inventiveness he has for ATO's and apply that to his half court sets.

no crap huh? lol   we need an inside out attack the basket mentality.

Kyrie's a genius, why would he adjust anything about anything that he does on or off the court?

The worst is that he's clearly aware he's doing something wrong. Time and again in a post-match interview he's said something along the lines of "I need to do/be better", yet our offence has stayed the exact same all year. Ugh.

Hope he can go back to being a star next season

I could swear the Boston Celtics ran an actual offensive system in years past.  I seem to recall them having one.

But by the end of this season, it really had devolved to shoveling the ball around the perimeter and then somebody throwing up a three.

Oh, yeah, occasionally Kyrie or Hayward or Rozier would venture into the paint, be met with a wall of arms, and then bail. . . which would result in a hasty long jumper.

We didn't have a traditional interior scoring threat at all this season. Al can score in the post, but he's not dominant down there and at times he just looks uncomfortable and stilted with post ups. We really needed Brad to step up, get some wrinkles in the offense. His read & react/free flow offense just wasn't a good fit for this personnel and it was painfully obvious early on. Way too much reliance on jumpshots. He didn't adjust. He was also a disappointment this season.

So much disappointment all around.

To be honest, if literal Jesus signed with Boston, the fans here would whine and criticize him for the length of his contract.

Depends on if he was a point that refuses to distribute.

Which goes against the grain of being Jesus.

Boston sports fans have always had the same identity. You better have a thick skin, play your heart out, show no fear, and be a team first guy. Give that to the fans and they will love you forever.

If you can't, you should go somewhere else.

It has always been thus.

TP for the funny comment.

Could just picture Rozier at the Last Supper drinking from Jesus's 'blood,' right before Judas nails him and gives him away to be crucified, he would be the one complaining, "Man.. Jesus you think you're so cool? I don't give a f**k! I STILL sacrificed the most!"
"I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses
Can't define how I be dropping these mockeries."

Or you can just be Hayward and not have to worry about any of that stuff.
