Apparently Brooklyn. I think we have a strong chance of keeping him though

No. Fans hated pierce in 2005.  Most of us wanted him gone.  All it takes is adding KG-like Savior to rehab kyrie’s Celtic image.  If Anthony Davis can carry us to contention in the same way Garnett carried Pierce, this will all be a distant memory.

Also, the act of choosing Boston and signing here will alleviate a lot of the insecurity-based fan hate.  A lot of fans hated Kyrie because they preemptively saw him as someone who was leaving.  Him signing long term eases some of those Ray Allen-based abandonment issues Boston fans have.

You’re right.

No.  It's not worth it.  Just imagine having someone who already has it going upstairs (in the head), like Fox, or Murray, or even Ball.  All those guys would work well WITH BRAD and his system!  So go find someone like that...

LAkers with Lebrun.  They’ll trade for AD and espn will lap it up.

Whatever happens I think it's safe to say this mixture of young, high draft picks (who would normally be drafted and playing their first few years on bad or maybe mediocre teams but racking up the individual stats) and superstars (or whatever the level right below superstar is called) is not a good match.  Celtics need to choose which direction they want to go on and build accordingly.

I honestly think this is the least likely of any single team in the league. He was very annoyed by Lebron's style of play and ownership of the team. If anything, these things have become even more pronounced in LA. I do believe there are a few things he regrets from his time with the cavs, namely not talking to his teammates during the playoff run and some of the pouting. However, it is an incredible leap to think that means he actually wants to go play with something that drove him insane.

Ya this is a good point, the criticism really started ramping up after he started back tacking a little on his initial pronouncement of returning. If he locks in long term some of that goes away, and he looks a lot better if he's your second best guy.

Thats bc Smart is built this way

He wouldnt throw his teammates...even Irving under the bus

The issue at the end of the day is Irving wants to be the man. Tries to teach "young guys"...yet has no clue in how to lead

Irving also having that control to hold onto the ball and dribble endlessly, shoot as many shots as he wants ... can mess up the team flow...unless Irving is that amazing

Which he is not...he is a Robin

He's not wrong, Irvings leadership isnt what destroyed the Celtics. Its more that it just didn't in any way help and his terrible play in the 2nd round made it look worse.
