Will he try to take over and score 40+ to prove he's that great a shooter?

Or will he try to show he's a team first leader, play a balanced offensive game and work hard on defense?

I think we'll find out some things about who he is tonight.

The game will probably start like each of the last three, with the Celtics holding the lead after one quarter.  Kyrie will play balanced for this entire stretch and the starters will look solid.  After that it's up to the bench to tread water.  They are overdue for a good performance.

If things go south then I expect Kyrie to lose patience quickly.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I think tonight's game will say a lot about Kyrie's future. If he is engaged and the Cs execute and play hard throughout, then I will be confident he is re-signing. If he just goes on auto-pilot and the Cs get blown out, then I assume he will be gone.

I expect either (a) go down gunning or (b) total dejection.

If he puts up a stinker, his bags are probably already packed. He sounds like media and fans have gotten the best of him and he has a foot out the door...sucks big time because I want him to stay.

Here is hoping my returning pessimism will give me a big surprise tonight.

I think we'll find out MANY things about this TEAM, tonight...

Don't think Kyrie is playing 1 on 5 unless Adam Silver changed the rules overnight.

Entire TEAM needs to get in the trenches and FIGHT.

Kyrie will play like a champion.

Cause that is what he does.

I am more concerned about how the rest of the team will play. Will anyone do anything out there remotely championlike?

Hopefully we let Kyrie walk.

I don't ever want to ever see this guy in a Celtics uniform again.

What's gonna happen.

Kyrie says he can't leave the Celtics under these circumstances and resigns on a short term contract. Will the C's go for it?

The most important Celtic from here on out is Danny!

How involved is Danny going to be day to day coming off of a heart attack?

literally embarrassing, he wanted the stage to himself to be leader, literally the worst leadership i've seen and worst team basketball i've seen in a while

1 assist in 33 minutes is shocking.
21 shots in 33 minutes is ... a lot ... only made 6-21. A lot of shots to take in that little court time when you are missing so much.
21 shots and only got 2 FTAs.
16 shots in the first half. Ugh.

Ugly offensive ratios all round there. Assists to minutes. Assists to shots. Shots to minutes. FTs to FGAs.
