He unliked it now. Not sure why it's being treated as a big deal (not talking about you), him wanting to go to the Lakers is the least mysterious part of the whole mess.

Yeah but it's equally likely to happen to one of the Lakers, and if it was going to happen either way, it's far better to have not traded for the guy yet.

I know they can't trade for Tatum specifically right now but it's just a weird argument, a random major injury is much more likely to burn you after you've acquired the guy than when you're weighing options. And is very low probability.

The Lakers are still glad to engage with the Pelicans on an Anthony Davis trade, but no longer want to bid against themselves, league sources tell ESPN. Lakers are waiting for Pelicans to make a counter-proposal.

Hahaha their entire trade strategy was to bid against themselves by freezing out all other bidders and get a better deal out of it.

This is totally posturing of course, they're going to try again before Thursday afternoon. Glad the Pels are holding firm.

The obviousness of all of this trade propaganda has been quite comical. It’s a clear posturing move trying to get NOLA to budge.
