I will say, I’m about ready to wash my hands of the whole Ad situation and hope he is traded elsewhere. Not because I believe any of these leaks, but rather because I DON’T believe any of these leaks. This is all Klutch propaganda meant to get AD to LA, and I’m not sure that I want Rich Paul anywhere near the Celtics. He’s a circus distraction that we don’t need.

My feelings also...but the one thing that causes pause is if Kyrie will stay no matter what happens with AD.

He’ll stay if we win the championship.

Trade Kyrie for DeAndre Jordan? LOL

You want to trade a top 10 talent for an old fashion center that few teams want to invest in or grow with?
Remember the old days prior to warriors ball and the saying :
never trade a big guy for a point guard! Lol

Yeah, except in those days, the equivalent trade would have been trading Chris Paul for Samuel Dalembert.

He can’t be traded to Boston for 5 months. It doesn’t freakin matter if he wants to play here right now because we aren’t even an option. I explained all of this in my podcast, but they have like 3 days to desperately try and make Boston seem out of the running to try and con the Pelicans into just caving and trade Davis now as opposed to making Davis suffer 5 months in a sitting duck situation.  If we get past this trade deadline, the storylines change.   Ignore all this crap.  It’s all nonsense.

This might be me just overreacting about the updated list, but this could easily throw a massive monkey wrench into Kyrie Irving staying. Outside of making it to the Finals, it would be a challenge to convince him to stay knowing that youth and Gordon Hayward improving might be the only help he'll get.

Time for Danny Ainge to fully evaluate the team. If he thinks this is a Finals worthy squad, keep going. Otherwise, I'd seriously look into trading Kyrie.

League sources said earlier Monday that, beyond the Lakers and New York Knicks, the Pelicans were made aware of a "handful" of teams that Davis would be willing to sign with long-term upon a trade.

The Milwaukee Bucks and LA Clippers are among the teams on that new extended list, according to sources.

The new list doesn't include the Boston Celtics, league sources said.

EDIT: I think him going to the Lakers or a team that won't have cap this offseason is the best case scenario for us if he doesn't come here. My biggest concern is New York or the Clippers - places where he could theoretically team up with Kyrie.

True.

This can be settled once and for all in 3 days.

Wish it would happen if it is going to happen. Would like to see if Ainge could get Gasol for the stretch run.

Yeah, planted info aside, I have no confidence what so ever that Davis even wants to be in Boston.

It's like what his father said. "Do not go to Boston. They are not a loyal team. Remember they did IT4 wrong?"  ::) ::)

Forget Davis... he can go play in China for all I care

Ainge and Wyc I bet don't want a guy with this kind of attitude towards the Celts org

but want to still mess around with trade idea to screw the Lakers

This calmed me down.

And yep, PP is spot on. Because if the goal is "to win" then whybinclude these two teams, when both will have to gut their squads to trade for him, and bank on free agents signing with them to be even considered contenders?
