Super talented. Huge. Strong as an Ox. That said, there is things that I can do with more polish than Simmons. I'm not gonna rip him too hard because it's just starting, but I wanted to point this out that he's coming, just not yet.

Agreed -- you can wreck 76ers offense by attacking Simmons' inability to shoot jumpers. He is an inefficient player that the Celtics can exploit.

Yep. Even if he could shoot free throws reliably he'd be way more dangerous - however, he cannot.

He's going to have to take some serious strides if he ever wants to be an MVP type player

Biggest flaw is guys like IT and Larkin pick n him clean if he dribbles too much .  The ball has to bounce way to high with him .

His presence makes sure their is guard job for the little guys .

He has to bend way over to dribble and protect the ball , thus he has to bend his neck up at an unnatural angle to see the court .

I suspect back issues or eventually he gets lazy and old and doesn't protect the ball as he ages.

We actually had serious defensive lapses against him. He can be completely shut down with better focus. For the most part he just brings the ball up, tries to attack, sees someone in his way, gives the ball away and that’s the end of his contribution to the play. Embiid is another story. Brad is going to have to figure out a way to stop him without doubling. Thankfully they didn’t continue the low post last night.

First of all, you can definitely see the talent in him. He does have special gifts.

That being said, he looked like a deer in headlights at several points last night and I really think part of it was the crowd was in his head.  He was frustrated & it snowballed.  By the standards we’re accustomed to with him, he didn’t have that good of a game which is kinda nutty because if you go simply off his stat line, his numbers were pretty decent.

His greatest gift is a blessing for us, the ability to play PG.   Playing him at PG is folly.   He does not have the footspeed to guard fast guards and he can't keep defenses honest.  It's a great novelty but he is playing out of position.

He is also lazy on D.

Obviously, I'm speaking to the offensive end.  It'd be hard to find a team in the NBA who wouldn't want his skill set at that age.

His defense isn't going to be making any all defensive teams, though.

I'd say his only real "flaw" is his shooting. I don't consider inexperience to be a flaw since that will resolve itself.

One thing I was really curious to watch was the difference between him and Giannis, since both are tall, talented ball dominant players with poor shooting. Many were talking up Simmons coming into this series as being a more difficult challenge than Giannis was.

It's pretty clear that Simmons is more skilled (better ball handler, playmaker). But Giannis is still more dominant.

Pretty much this.  He’s a unique player that will be a perennial all star very soon.

His shooting is considerably less of a problem than his inability to make 60% of his free throws.

Seriously, though, I’ve seen him too many times this season to pile on. He will probably come back and dominate a couple of games especially in Philly. Kid is fun to watch. Love his court vision.
