Day old cold crow just for Eddie 20
Did i hear echos of Semi sucks ,doesn't hustle ,no hops -that was a" in your face 3 point shot"-a statement 3 pointer in 4th quarter followed by falling on a loose ball.
Next time he will improve on that and pull a Marcus.

Seven games, 3.0 points, 33.3% FG%, 31.3% 3PT%, worst DRtg of any rotation player.

Crowder was an above-average starter last year. Let’s keep some perspective.

When deciding who is better for this team today, I think the better way to look at is this:

If Danny got a call from CLE, asking them if we would take Crowder for Semi, do you think he would accept it?  Assuming salary matches, etc.  I think he would pass, because I think he feels that Semi is more athletic, defends bigs better, and will eventually match or surpass Crowder offensively.

Danny would take that and laugh all the way to the bank.  A starting level player on a great contract vs. a second rounder (on the chance that they *might* eventually be as good)? Come on.

He's only a starting level player on a non-contender. You might keep in mind that Jae was a second rounder too.

He was a starter on a team that was #1 in the East and made the ECF.  No, he isn't gonna start over Lebron James, but by that metric no SF is a starter on a contender.

As for being a 2nd Rounder, why are we stopping at Crowder? Jimmy Butler was a 2nd rounder, clearly Semi will be as good as him! ...unless massive improvement out of 2nd rounders is extremely rare, and is the exception rather than the rule.  If you expect every 2nd rounder to become as good as Crowder, you're gonna be disappointed in a LOT of guys.
I'm bitter.

Jimmy Butler was a 1st round pick.

Yep. 30th overall. BJ should have gone with a mix of Dray Green and Manu.

In terms of who you'd rather have on your team and who makes your team better Semi has already eclipsed Crowder

Yes. TP.

Realistically if it's Game 7, closing seconds and we're up one, and someone has to defend Bron straight up and I'm only allowed to pick between Semi and Crowder I'm picking Semi.

I've seen the Crowder result enough times I'd rather go with the mysterious stranger who I saw defend Giannis last week.

Now if it's the other way around and I need to score against Bron I'd go with Semi

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I bet the defensive contributions now are relatively on par. Offensively Crowder is better by a long shot. And I believe Semi can do a lot more than he’s showing

Crowder disappeared in the playoffs last year. In addition to his shots not being consistent. I was done with him at that point. Him moaning and whining around on Twitter was the icing to the cake for me.

Him inadvertently/intentionally hurting Gordon Hayward this year now makes me detest him even more.

A voice of reason. To add to that in the hustle stats over 101 minutes he has 10 rebounds, 1 steal, and 0 blocks.

The OP though has this unusual spin on things. If Semi hits a few shots, he loses his mind. If he has a stinker, it changes to Semi only being a rookie. The OP has all his bases covered and no longer even makes a post on that scrub Nader. Now the moment he hits a few shots, like clockwork the thread will emerge on Nader being some sort of celestial being. Take off the green goggles, buddy.

(EDDIE 20)---claims "semi sucks","No Motor"" No Hustle" "No Game Hops"-claims my judgement has no stock due to living in England that has produced the likes of John Amechi as a pro. When the reality was i was mentored and coached by Rollie Massimino a legend and famous for his help pressure man to man defense. And i was his Captain
-Then he brags about d-2,  I was recruited by U Conn when Toby Kimball was there and drafted by Celtics but i entered Northeastern just after they had two seniors drafted into NBA one to Celtics--He is full of negative hyperbole -he objects to my praise of new players and scrubs, After all  they are celtics and objects that i move on -he fancies himself as some board vigilante and has stalked his way back to my beginning posts on Zeller,Brandon Wright,Green and everyone,s favorite GiGi -there was Dwight Powell but never any on Mickey or James Young.

Unsolicited he posted on My Messages, even though he was asked to never again post on my messages or i would report him to moderator-He continued in an attempt to intimidate and embarrass me and how he was applauded for" calling me out"-
Why because i am a upbeat fan or called Green a Stilletto  in Brads hands and loved his athleticism or reported on Nader stats with Red Claws while we were stuck with Young.

If the team is going to rely on Tatum, Hayward, and Brown for the next several years, I can't see Ojeleye having as big of a role as Crowder did when he was here, but Ojeleye looks like he'll fit like a glove into the CBS system.

People who screamed bloody murder about trading Crywder are now just Semi haters.  Can’t even make a new thread that’s positive about Semi without it getting merged into some older thread about Crywder.

Also, Brown and Tatum are both >>>>>> Bradley and Crywder and it’s not even close or up for debate.

Getting Crywder off this team has been nothing but a massive positive for us.

Eh I don't think removing Crowder was a positive for this team. Lets see how Morris shakes out first. They are similar profile players and for all of the purported "sins" Crowder committed on offense Morris has done far worse over the course of his career.

Rollie, hopefully this is the medication talking and/or perhaps you're intoxicated because continuing to bring up the same constant unintelligible nonsense doesn't really speak to a normal level of rationality. If you want to continue, then go right ahead, but trust me it's becoming pretty clear you aren't playing with a full deck.

Again, I don't think Semi is good. Is that a crime? Am I supposed to be in awe of every C's player and overlook their warts? What is the issue?

Crowder:
Mr. first quarter
Inconsistent shooter and average finisher with only straight line drive
Declining defender
Big mouth

Give me Semi

there is absolutely no need for ad hominem attacks here. it is awful and adds nothing to the arguments of those using them.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
