This is going to be a bloodbath.  Kyrie has faced adversity exactly once in his career -losing the 2016-2017 NBA finals - and reacted by forcing a trade.

How do you think he's going to handle being constantly compared to the diminutive folk-hero whose shoes he's going to struggle to fill?

When they take a step back and win 44 games this season, and he misses games due to injuries that IT would have played through the rabid Boston fan base and media are going to eat him alive.

He didn't care (IT comparison) before the trade happened. He likely wouldn't care either going forward.

I doubt losing in the finals had ANYthing to do with him wanting a trade, and more of Lebron being fine with Trading him for more help. He's watched Lebron want Love gone for a couple years now, and is done with that nonsense. And the ownership is a joke.

Also with rumor of Lebron being gone after next season, he's jumping that S#!% show before it gets worse.

We are going to find a lot about this dude this season. He says he wants to be the man then his game will have to elevate to a whole new level. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds and whether he can take the heat he'll get playing under the Boston microscope.

I'd like to get hype about Kyrie, but I feel like we paid to much for him and I miss IT.

If I could get some positive answers to these questions it should make me feel better

1. Do you expect Kyrie to outdo IT's season last year, if so how is he going to do that?

2. Do you expect Kyrie to play defense next year?

3. Will Kyrie be able to fit into Steven's pass heavy motion offense or will we see a ton of isos from Kyrie?

4. Will Kyrie play team ball?

5. How do you think Kyrie will act if faced with adversity?

6. Will Kyrie materially change the way the Celtics play?

Personally Kyrie makes me nervous because his game seems to be isolation while his teammates watch and he rarely tries on defense. People killed him for asking for a trade, which I think is ridiculous. It seems unfair that people killed Durant for joining his rivals and not leading his own team, then killed Kyrie for wanting to lead his own team.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I am ecstatic that Danny pulled off this trade. This offseason reminds me of the summer of 2007 between the draft and trading for Ray Allen and then Garnett. I have that same feeling of anticipation for the season to start and watch every game.

I took my daughter to softball practice on Tuesday and when we left at around 8pm, my radio was on WEEI. I thought it was odd when I first heard the hosts talking about Isaiah and Kyrie. My first reaction was, why are they talking about the Celtics now? Then I turned it to the Sports Hub, and they were talking about it too. By that time, my daughter must have thought I was nuts, as all I was saying was Oh My God, Oh My God, what happened. When they said the trade, I almost jumped out of skin with excitement.

This has been an unbelievable offseason for Danny and the whole organization, and I am so happy that they are the leaders for my beloved franchise.

Any enemy of LeBron is a friend of mine.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

1. I'm expecting Kyrie to put up 25-6-5. Don't forget we also added Gordon Haywood, so Isaiah was never going to put up those numbers again from last season.

2. I don't expect him to defend like Marcus Smart, but he will put the effort when needed. The one thing we don't have to worry about, is Irving being taken out of games for defensive purposes like Isaiah.

3. I don't see Irving having any issue with Brad's system. Don't forget Isaiah had a lot of isolation plays in Brad's system, so it's not like it was ball movement 100% of the time. Also, I think people discount the drastic change in coaching between what was in Cleveland during Irving's time there, and what Brad has to offer. Irving also played at Duke, where they have a ball motion offense too, so the concept is not foreign to him.

4. I think Kyrie just wants to be part of a team that wants to play basketball. I don't think he wants to deal with all of the drama. He seems like a quiet guy that just wants to play.

5. I think he will do just fine with any adversity. Don't forget, he was playing on a team with national attention every time they took the court.

6. If Kyrie changes the way the Celtics play, it will be because that is what Brad wanted. Don't forget, Haywood will have something to do with that too.

I can hardly wait to hear Tommy describing Kyrie's game on opening night.
