This is going to be a bloodbath.  Kyrie has faced adversity exactly once in his career -losing the 2016-2017 NBA finals - and reacted by forcing a trade.

How do you think he's going to handle being constantly compared to the diminutive folk-hero whose shoes he's going to struggle to fill?

When they take a step back and win 44 games this season, and he misses games due to injuries that IT would have played through the rabid Boston fan base and media are going to eat him alive.

Yeah, this was ridiculous to read.

Watching that Cavs-Warriors finals game today on NBA network, you could see how LeBron tends to dominate the ball with his one on one play. I don't think Irving cared for that. He wasn't getting much opportunity 2nd half.

They'll be more ball sharing in Boston, and Irving will be central to that as a PG. He'll score plenty, but I think he will be called to distribute as well.

Stevens has a very big challenge here, with almost a new team expected to improve over last year. They will have to come together very quickly.

Right now, I don't see the Cavs and Celtics as that much apart after this deal. Assuming IT gets back to normal play. I also think the deal increases the chances of Lebron staying in Cleveland. The Cavs have added depth, and have a high lottery pick to look forward to next year.

Will be hyped no doubt but emotional investment in all those players makes it tough. Full roster turnover ... really is a new era. It's gonna be fun.

Sneaky think Marcus will be a break out star. Love that we kept him.

Yabu Semi .... Will be very interesting.

Think about how much Thomas improved under Brad Stevens.

Kyrie Irving hasn't had a good coach since his freshman year at Duke.

I can't wait to watch this guy go to another level under Brad.

Kyrie having his way with international competition in the Olympics last year.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JyKXTb0oWM

Noteworthy about that Olympic team: Kyrie played the 3rd most minutes and averaged the 3rd most points (behind Durant and Carmelo respectively) and led that team in assists.

When great players get together, Kyrie tends to stand out as a great among the greats. I think this is his year to truly break out.

I thought this video was old but it's supposedly from last week. He has a couple nice feeds in here expect to see more of him facilitating this season. He's his usual explosive self scoring from all over the floor. I'm giddy man I can't wait.
