His counterpart averaged 24.3 points, 6.1 assists and 6.2 rebounds with better eFG and TS% numbers in those same games. At best Irving drew even with the guy he was guarding much of the time.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Drew even with Curry who played with two of the all-time historic teams?

Yeah, I'll take that.

I'd like to get hype about Kyrie, but I feel like we paid to much for him and I miss IT.

If I could get some positive answers to these questions it should make me feel better

1. Do you expect Kyrie to outdo IT's season last year, if so how is he going to do that?

2. Do you expect Kyrie to play defense next year?

3. Will Kyrie be able to fit into Steven's pass heavy motion offense or will we see a ton of isos from Kyrie?

4. Will Kyrie play team ball?

5. How do you think Kyrie will act if faced with adversity?

6. Will Kyrie materially change the way the Celtics play?

Personally Kyrie makes me nervous because his game seems to be isolation while his teammates watch and he rarely tries on defense. People killed him for asking for a trade, which I think is ridiculous. It seems unfair that people killed Durant for joining his rivals and not leading his own team, then killed Kyrie for wanting to lead his own team.

I don't want Kyrie to try to "outdo" anyone. I expect Kyrie to average around 23-25 ppg, 6 to 8 assists, play defense well enough to not continually need help. I also expect the Celtics will allow him to do what he does best, while he learns to also take advantage of the Celtic motion offense. I expect for him to resign with the Celtics after his contract ends, IF he enjoys his time in Boston. I expect him to play similar "team Ball."

How do I think Kyrie will act if faced with adversity? OMG get serious.

Lol drew even with Stephen Freakin Curry? He should hang his head in shame!!!

Last season's finals he outplayed Curry by a mile BTW!! *forgot to add* He did this while being defend by Klay who is regarded by anyone who knows basketball as one of the best defenders in the league and Curry was mainly being defended by Kyrie (one of the worst)!

Only on Celtics blog is drawing even with a 2-time MVP top 4 NBA player and best point gaurd in the league something to be disappointed about.

According to a recent poll of CB users Kyrie is the far better PG. ;) Even though Curry smoked him last year in the finals. But hell, that's just water under the bridge or over the dam.

whoa whoa whoa

find me that poll. I refuse to believe that till I see it with my own eyes.

Also again worth noting, the two didnt really matchup. Klay followed Irving around and Cleveland tried to keep Irving off Steph as much as possible.

Ha, ha, ha... nice try at a save granath, but they got you on this one.  ;D I think it best to cough up a mea culpa and move on.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
