Depends, you could see Hayward at the wing and Crowder as the swing, with Horford and Morris as bigs, obviously IT as ball handler. I think Morris is a decent addition, no he's not a great player, but he is a 35% 3 point shooter for his career (yes I know it was 33% last year, but I think this is a better situation for him), and a competent defender. He's not a good rebounder, but I think it's clear that Danny and Brad don't put a high value on that, largely because their system requires bigs to play on the perimeter which minimizes the value of a guy whose main skill is rebounding. Lastly, you can't discount the importance of the money, Morris' contract is very favorable and the Celts need to find deals where they can.

After some googling I found out he also is an inch shorter than his brother (6'9 vs 6'10).

The Jeff Green comparison is a good one.

One thing I can guarantee: nobody is going to nickname Morris "Sleepy". He's got the exact opposite demeanor and attitude of Green.

I told you we had little leverage until we badly traded one of our three "expendable" players. And people was thinking the other way. Time was running out and Hayward has already given up some money to sign here. After all, it's not a bad trade given we obtain a starting-caliber PF.

I hate seeing Bradley go, my favourite Celtic last years  :'( :'(
Woj said two other teams were interested in Bradley. If that's the best deal it could get it's just sad. Might have been better off just waiving him.

Or just keep him this year and let us have a great year and let him go into free agency.

That was my hope.

Why do we dump our best defender just to get a bit of cash to sign GH?.  Figure out another way to do it DA.  I hope there is another shoe to fall.  Shipping off our best defender for someone like Morris is such a net loss for the team.
there weren't enough minutes to keep smart Bradley and crowder. 1 had to go and AB was as good as gone after this year.
No, there aren't enough minutes for Hayward, Tatum and Crowder ... and Ainge just "solved" this issue by adding Morris to this same mix. Brilliant move...

Morris is more of a 4 while Crowder should only see spot minutes there, Tatum's big enough but almost certainly not ready, and Hayward won't be there much either.

Think of Morris more as a replacement for Olynyk than an additional SF.
Real good point. I think the idea is to replace KO through a combination of Morris and Tatum (low post game).   Not that KO was a great low post presence - not even close - but Tatum probably gives you equal ability in that aspect of his game.

Could Crowder still be on the move?

I think so. But now we're not under cap restraints so Danny gets some leverage back.

Love Love Love Avery but not bothered by this at all..  He is going to get paid next year and It Would not have been with us... Also we needed a tougher bigger body since We lost KO (a softer bigger body :)

And We Keep Smart  - which I think is super important.

Now Move Crowder please..

Trade Smart/Crowder next? Do you want this entire defense traded away??

Bradley and Horford were the two best Celtics players in this year's playoffs....by far.

He played big in big games since he arrived here.

He played toe to toe with the top NBA stars at his position and these stars verbally confirmed this.

An opposing player had to prepare for him, how many on this roster can say that?

He made his teammates better because he wanted it more than anyone else on the court.

He is an excellent example of a player who must be judged by watching him play not looking at statistics.

Now it is time for someone to step up and it will be a big step.

Don't move Crowder unless you get an actual rebounder/interior defender.  Morris may be a bigger body but he's not tougher.  Averaging only 4.6 RPG at 6'9 and 235 in 32+ MPG is a joke.  KO in only 20 MPG averaged 4.8 RPG....

To be fair, part of it is probably because they also had Drummond lol.

I bet you the Lakers offered a better package for AB but Danny turned it down considering AB would make the Lakers too good for us to get their draft pick.

Sadly, KCP will now go to BKN and make them better. In the East, they might have just enough to stay out of the basement.

I'd love to find out what the other offers were, though.

MM is 13th in the NBA in WINS for power forwards on ESPN's Real Plus/Minus.

http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/WINS/position/6

And he is CHEAP and signed for two years.

That being said, I will miss the heck out of AB.

Best wishes Avery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hurts.
