Yes. When he's not stretching the midsection of his jersey that is.

More positional versatility. More strength. Better off the ball. Overall, more disruptive.

Not the better overall player for sure, though.

they're both excellent defenders but different in a lot of ways

Bradley is much better equipped in defending quicker guards aka John Wall, Irving, Curry, etc
Smart is much better equipped in defending bigger guards and other positions aka Milsap (PF) / Lowry (PG) and a few others

In terms of versatility yes... 1 on 1 guard defenders

AB is one of the best. Just behind Tony Allen

IMO, we still need to add another big man, even if he's little more than the get a few rebounds and commit lots of fouls sort.

Yes. And stats prove that. Explain why our defense has been better with Bradley OFF the floor the past two years and better with Smart ON the floor?

For example, our D was 3.5 points better per 100 possessions with Bradley off the bench. Meanwhile, it was 3.6 better with Smart on the floor.

When Bradley successfully guards the likes of Kristaps, Millsap and Al Jefferson, get back to me.

Dedmon declined a $3 million option. I find it hard to believe this was just to take a room exception with the Celtics.

I'm hoping more for someone like Tiago Splitter. He didn't have a great year and is flying really low under the radar now.

I agree with all of this. Smart, due to versatility and defensive playmaking ability, is a better defender than Bradley. Bradley's definitely the better overall player, but when you consider that we can lock 23 year-old Smart up for maybe as little as 3/30 (Roberson deal), he becomes a much more attractive piece.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Bradley's the better defender.  I admit to being amused that people are arguing against this, though.  It's not at the level of "Jefferson is better than Garnett!", but it's pretty good.

Just was comparing Morris and Bradley. Morris had more 30 point + games than Bradley(2-1), more 20-29 point games than Bradley(14-11), more 5-14 rebounds games(38-36), and more 1-2 blocks games(17-11), and more 3-4 blocks games(2-0).

Morris will be a good addition. Its a trade that had to be made for current cap space needs and future luxury tax avoidance. Morris' contract is good value for two years and then he will be replaced by Tatum, if Tatum doesn't surpass him this year, which is a distinct possibility

So you're comparing a 6'9 forward to a 6'3 guard and the fact that they're essentially a wash in 5-14 rebound games is somehow good? LOL.

With Brown and Smart potentially starting at the 2, no way we are as good as we could have been with Bradley. Signing a star and then making a luxury tax move is just stupid. If GS can have that team, we can keep Avery.
