I think Crowder will put a stink if he is benched.  I have a feeling Hayward will slide to the 2 for now.

I could live with that. We'll finally have some size in the starting backcourt.

An IT/Hayward/Jae/Morris/Al lineup would probably work much better for the "switch everything" defense we tend to play, too

Morris played great against us when he subbed in for his brother in the playoffs vs. Washington, so this move makes sense.

Also, the real loser in this deal is Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Yes, for sure. I'd love to see Jaylen earn the starting role, but Smart might start the season there.

That team needs more experience on the bench, and an additional big man who can play, but it's a really fun team.

I like that line up, Smart can play with IT, Hayward and Horford and be a defensive monster and not have to try to create offense. He fits well showing his strengths and hiding his weakness.

I'll miss AB, but something like this had to happen.

I was under the impression that Danny Ainge is the kind of guy who didn't make trades unless he was on the winning end. The fact that AB is good enough to warrant a $25 million deal should tell you that he should fetch more in return than Marcus Morris. The Thunder got the pieces they needed to trade to trade for Paul George by giving up Ibaka who had a year left on his deal...

Nothing about Morris excites me outside of his durability. A PF who shoots 40%? Im hoping that will change since he'll be playing on a talented team for the 1st time in his career but my expectations are very tempered.

Harris received battery charges for punching a man that was an employee for a bar and nightclub in Lawrence, Kansas called The Cave. Both Morris and Harris entered a diversion agreement for the battery charge, with Marcus paying a $300 diversion fee and $60 for court case fees, as well as agreeing not to come in contact with both the victim and The Cave for an entire year.[28]

On January 24, 2015, both Marcus and Markieff Morris found themselves involved with two aggravated assault cases as five different men (including the twins and former Baltimore Ravens safety Gerald Bowman) allegedly assaulted a 36-year-old man named Eric Hood outside of the Nina Mason Pulliam Recreation Center in Phoenix, Arizona.[29] Hood had previously mentored the Morris twins from high school until the end of their college careers, while the brothers wound up beating Hood up for "sending an inappropriate text message" to their mother. I am disappointed we didn't hang onto AB.  I felt moving Crowder was a better fit with bringing in GH and drafting Tatum.  I don't feel like Crowder is going to be in the starting lineup with GH here and it is going to cause problems.  AB is a player who improved literally every year and Crowder got worse on D the last year. 

If IT has problems recovering from his hip issue it would have been better to kept Bradley to keep some scoring in the starting lineup and let Smart be the PG until IT fully recovers.  To me so many reasons to not do this right now.  I guess I am in the minority.  Sad day to see Avery go, great player and a great person.  This sucks.

Plus for Marcus Morris, uggg.  We lost in every measurable way in this trade except Morris can play the 4.  I hope DA feels really dirty and bad about this one for a while.

Yep, and in addition to being a pretty decent fit at the 4 for us, he's on a ridiculously cheap contract.

I don't think Marcus Morris is a PF. He spent time in Detroit either as a clear-cut SF in lineups with Leuer and Drummond, or paired with Tobias Harris (where they're at best interchangeable).
