I see the value in the deal, and of course the need to clear salary, but I'm bummed. Avery was one of my favorite Celtics and the last link to the Big 3 teams.

Fare well, shot blockin ball stoppin buzzer beatin guy.

Knew this day was coming soon but still a bummer to see AB go.  He was a baller and busted his tail off to get better over the years.

I like AB better than Morris, but this helps fill a need and clears some cap room, while opening up playing time for Jaylen. AB was getting a $25 million deal next year.

Does this mean that Tatum gives up the 7-11 connection and takes his old college #0?

So, if Al Horford gets dinged during the regular season again and needs to sit 10 or 15 games, who is going to take minutes at the 5?

Ante Zizic? Marcus Morris? This is beyond small ball.

There must be more shoes to drop.

Does this mean Crawford to Boston could be legit?

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I have prepared for either Smart, Bradley or Crowder leaving, but I think you can never prepare.

Man, this sucks. I know it has to be done, but this sucks.

Thank you for everything, Avery. You will always be the defensive dog that the Garden loved. Good luck in Detroit.

Morris is a good fit as a PF who can hit 3's in Brads system.  I'm not a fan of his because of his attitude but playing for your favorite team can change that perception quickly.  His salary is cheap at 5m and he will slide in at PF.

IT
Hayward
Crowder
Morris
Horford

Not a bad lineup.  The C's can now sign a few FA's and keep Rozier, Crowder and Smart if they choose to do so.  This will allow Tatum to get some run as well and develop in his rookie season.  Good trade.  Not my top choice but probably the best value you could get for a player in his final year who is about to make 20+m per.

i hope not, i really like the ring to it!  ;D 7-11 open 24/7 or 7-11 buckets for 24-7

I'm sure someone will be signed with one of the exceptions.  Maybe Jerebko is brought back, someone like Dedmon or Len is signed.

I really wanted to keep Avery.  Great work ethic, great citizen, would have been a big contributor as an additional offensive threat opening opportunities for IT and GH.  Very sad to see him go.

He's a guy who would have been an all-time, in the rafters Celtic if we were in different times.

All the best to Avery Bradley!

Does this move mean that Jamal Crawford is coming to Boston?
