I was actually looking forward to seeing Avery go out with a bang with the Celtics, but I get the need to move him.

I like Morris.  Hope he fits in.

Thanks for the effort Avery.  It was great seeing you develop into the player you are.
Yup

I told you we had little leverage until we badly traded one of our three "expendable" players. And people was thinking the other way. Time was running out and Hayward has already given up some money to sign here. After all, it's not a bad trade given we obtain a starting-caliber PF.

I hate seeing Bradley go, my favourite Celtic last years  :'( :'(
Woj said two other teams were interested in Bradley. If that's the best deal it could get it's just sad. Might have been better off just waiving him.

Or just keep him this year and let us have a great year and let him go into free agency.

That was my hope.

Stevens is trying to switch everything on defense and have guys 6'7 to 6'10 that can do multiple things. I'm not sure about our backcourt defense.

I would like to bring in Tony Allen and Jamal Crawford to help defense and scoring off the bench.

That was my preferred plan as well. But no, we just have to add Crowder clones instead of getting rid of them.

Wasn't AB the last one from the big 3 era? Danny Finally finished blowing it up

Yes, that's how you end up losing games because you get outrebounded by 15 by teams that have no business being in a game with you.

I've got 0 interest in Crawford.

Does TA have the quickness to stay with guards?

We needed AB to defend Curry in the Finals. Halfway joking I don't like this.

While Bradley is a better player than Morris, this move makes a ton of sense both contract-wise and for roster balance this season.

I'm also very happy we kept Smart of the 3 as that is my guy.

We still have the room exception and Crowder as a trade piece to try and address the rebounding issue.

Why do we dump our best defender just to get a bit of cash to sign GH?.  Figure out another way to do it DA.  I hope there is another shoe to fall.  Shipping off our best defender for someone like Morris is such a net loss for the team.

there weren't enough minutes to keep smart Bradley and crowder. 1 had to go and AB was as good as gone after this year.

He's not our best defender. That's Marcus Smart. But, basically, my guess is that we did that because there was nothing else on the table and because it's objectively better to just gifting Crowder to the Jazz. It's a little sad, really.

I GET TO KEEP MY CROWDER JERSEY!

Don't get too excited, he still could be on the block.

Crowder isnt going anywhere now unless a Gasol or other big trade comes through...

What other way is there? It's easy to criticize but what better option did we have?

No, there aren't enough minutes for Hayward, Tatum and Crowder ... and Ainge just "solved" this issue by adding Morris to this same mix. Brilliant move...
