Per Woj

Wow, I wanted to dump Crowder. Ugh

Not me. Hayward can play the 2, as can Smart, Brown and Rozier. Bradley is set to get ~ 20 mil per year this Summer, while Crowder will still be cheap for two more seasons.

I wonder what we'll get...

Edit: OK Morris. I can see the reason in that.

How did we make this trade when Morris is at $5M and AB at $8M, but the Pistons are over the cap?

He's the last one of the 3 I wanted to lose, and I hoped we'd resign him. This sucks. Now to see the return but it's not gonna be much with the need to take back less salary.

Morris it is. Well, he's not awful I guess and gives us some more versatility up front.

Are we doing this so that he can get in Markieff's head when we play the Wiz?

A pretty poor rebounder, and marginal PF size at 6''9" 235. Well, hopefully he can pull his 3-point shooting back to/over league average under Brad's tutelage.

Was really hoping AB and JC would go out together to bring back a quality PF or C. Nope.

Can we now ship Crowder and Morris to Dallas for Nerlens Noel?

Well, it makes sense. We weren't going to pay AB next summer, and we're adding a PF.

I'm really gonna miss Avery, though.

Don't get too excited, he still could be on the block.

This is a very good move by Danny. It was unlikely we resign AB next year and we needed a big. Morris will be our starting PF. I wonder who stats at SG for us?

Not a huge fan of Marcus Morris, but he does fit a positional need and his contract is friendly.  Maybe his skills will play up with better talent around him - particularly, with IT instead of Jackson.

Kind of surprised that we traded AB for him.  I honestly thought we'd keep him this year simply because we don't have any proven options at the 2 right now.  Unless we plan to start Hayward and Crowder on the wings together?

If true this means KCP is a goner, I would imagine.
If KCP is a goner, it's highly likely he ends up with the Nets. That's bad news for our Brooklyn 2018 pick.

Ignoring all else, Bradley was the last one I wanted to lose.  But I completely understand that he may have had the most value, and that we may not have resigned him.  And if it brings back a pf, then it's worth it.

Bye bye Avery.
