I'd consider taking Monroe off the Bucks hands for cheap as he has an expiring deal and I think he'd give us a better option at the 5 spot without impacting future flexibility.

Work on trying to extend at least 1 if IT/AB /Smart early.  Re-sign KO if you can do it for under 14/yr.
What do you think the price will be on Monroe. I like him a lot.

I kind of like this idea as well.  I wouldn't want to commit long term to Monroe, but as a stop gap big that can provide scoring punch it wouldn't be terrible.

I don't know why the word "whiff" is being used.  It implies that we have much control over what Hayward is going to do.  I actually hope we don't sign him if the cost is the full max contract.

As far as the fall back, I would really like Zach Randolph for one or two seasons but that doesn't seem so likely.

The way I look at it is if we sign Gordon, we likely don't sign Thomas next season.  I would rather pass on Gordon.  Thomas's hip scares me for sure.  I guess with the hip risk, maybe the thinking is sign Gordon because we won't want to sign Thomas.

Do people really think a team with Horford and Hayward on max contracts is going to contend?  Picture GSW with Thompson and Green on max contracts but no Durant or Curry.  You can't wrap enough role players and rookie contract players around those two guys to be good.  And Thompson and Green are probably better than Hayward and Horford.

I'll go with Gallo. He's an elite offensive weapon, and we know Danny has had interest in the past.

You don't know what elite means

Maybe do a little bit of research before you make obnoxious comments.

If we whiff on Hayward, and Miami gets him, we should go for James Johnson. He would be an excellent addition if he plays at last year's level.

There are no more options.
We have missed all three. PG, Hayw. and Griff.

Not happening.

He literally told Miami that if they sign Hayward, he'll take a discount to stay in Miami lol.

He played only 46 games and it was the first time in his career he acted like he gave a [dang]. The guy has too big of a bust factor to be paid big money.

Trade for DeAndre Jordan. Elite rim protector and rebounder and he can be probably be had for the Lak/Sac pick

After signing Griffin, I don't know if Jordan is available anymore. Besides, rim protectors seem to be on the outs with Stevens. He likes perimeter types who can shoot the 3.

Everybody who is making suggestions like Gallo, Monroe, etc, I want to ask a simple question:

"Is that going to give us a chance against LeBron?"

If not, I just don't see the point.  Not saying we need to blow it up.  We've still got the Nets and Lakers picks and we now have Smart, Brown, and Tatum plus Zizic and others.  We've got a young core.

So, let's have fun watching Isaiah and Horford plus a bunch of young guys.

That, to me, is the best fall back option if we can't improve the team in a significant way this summer.

Yep, it's been my plan C for a while (when I don't convince myself that Otto Porter is viable). The chanpionship players on the roster might be Brown, Tatum, and guys we haven't drafted yet, but in the meantime we can have a team that 25 or so fan bases would be jealous of.  And who knows, maybe you catch lightning in a bottle one post-season and shock the world.

Waiting out the Cavs is not a bad idea. They are going to implode that team after they get swept by the Warriors. They are already old and have no space or assets.

Boston with Zizic, Tatum, Brown, Yabu and the three first round picks in 2018 are set to take the torch. I would like to see IT extended and let him play with this group
