I'd consider taking Monroe off the Bucks hands for cheap as he has an expiring deal and I think he'd give us a better option at the 5 spot without impacting future flexibility.

Work on trying to extend at least 1 if IT/AB /Smart early.  Re-sign KO if you can do it for under 14/yr.
What do you think the price will be on Monroe. I like him a lot.

I would want to do something like Horford for Parker and Monroe.  I like Horford, but I don't want his contract for 3 more years.  This is somewhat dependent on Parker's medicals as I admit, I don't know the condition of his knees.

You trade Horford after just 1 year, after wooing him? Yeah, no good FA will sign in the future.

Also Monroe can neither space the floor, rebound well, pass nor defend.

That horford trade makes little sense, but Monroe is a good rebounder and passer. He's no gazelle but he can run the floor and his defense has improved over the past few years.

Pillow contracts like Amir and Jerebko, shorter years but more per annum. Maybe they go after a Gallinari or Rudy Gay type to bridge Brown/Tatum.

Yeah, no on Horford for Monroe.  I was thinking more along the lines of we'd be taking him into cap space, which would help the Bucks out.  Maybe 2 2nds or our 1st next year.

Should sign him fort the sole fact that he seems to obliterate the Cs every time he plays them no matter what team he is on.

100% no on Gallinari. Since the season he was traded from New York to Denver he has player in only 63% (roughly) of possible regular season games. We don't need another guy as frail as Avery Bradley. Also for a guy listed at 6'10 he's not a good rebounder, only 4.7 career rebounds a game (in 31 min).

Randolph, Reddick, Iguodala are on the older side, I see no point in bringing in guys who would take minutes away from out your duo of Brown and Tatum if they stand no chance of being on the next great Celtics team. What's the difference in losing by 20 to Cleveland vs 25?

and i will take it further.....what is the difference of ECf again or semis if cleveland blows us out again in ECF? does not even matter now until we can field a team that can beat lebron in the next 3 years. he will be 35 then. if we cannot beat him by then we might as well hang it up!
